Welcome to the ULTIMATE BLOG PARTY 2014
We’re thrilled you’re here! It’s time to meet new blogging friends and grow your communities and social media followings. The #UBP14 is THE place to party virtually April 4 through April 11.
We are Janice and Susan, the twin bloggers behind 5 Minutes for Mom and we are so excited you are joining us for our 8th annual Ultimate Blog Party!
The Ultimate Blog Party is just that — the ultimate place to party and meet new friends, (but no babysitters, airplanes, or tickets necessary.)
Yes — it really is quite simple. Write a party post on your site, sharing a bit of what you and your site are all about, and then add the URL of that party post to the applicable linky list below.
Within this party week we essentially generate a jam-packed directory of awesome, active bloggers across several different categories. The “Linky” Directory Pages where the you list your blog and “meet up” with other partygoers become a permanent blog directory.
[Tweet “Don’t miss your chance to get listed in the #UBP14 #Blog and #SocialMedia directories”]
Once you’ve added your blog’s “party post” link and your Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook page links to the “Linky Lists”, you can really start partying! Blog hop through the linky lists, leaving comments and making friends as you go.
Also, please help us thank our event title sponsor Pixorial. Follow them @Pixorial and check out this fun promotion we arranged with them for you.
Live Events
We are having two fabulous online LIVE events during the Ultimate Blog Party this year. One will be held on Twitter and the other will be a Google+ hangout. The live events are loaded with prizes and top notch blogging panelists who will share their experience and knowledge.
The Google+ Hangout is on Monday night at 9pm Eastern and the Twitter Party, which is sponsored by Qustodio, is on Tuesday night at 9pm Eastern.
Google+ Hangout Details Here.
Twitter Party Details Here.
Prizes!
We have hundreds of prizes to give away thanks to so many generous donations. Please take your time browsing through the Prize Pages.
To enter to win the Prizes on the Prize Page you must fill out a PRIZE ENTRY FORM. You can submit it any time before midnight Friday April 11th. So take your time and browse the prize listings, because in your entry form you will have the chance to indicate your top prize choices from the incredible Ultimate Blog Party 2014 Prize Pool!
What 5 Minutes for Mom is all About…
Susan and I created 5 Minutes for Mom in March 2006. We wanted to bring together and support the online mom community.
We are here to inspire, support, connect, encourage, empower, and entertain you. And we don’t do it alone — we have a great group of writers, editors, and guest contributors. In fact, if you are interested, you can find information here about joining our team.
So while 5MinutesForMom.com is also our personal site, infused by our lives as moms, bloggers, and business owners, it is about more than us… it’s about YOU! It is about the Bringing Moms Together through the incredible power of the online mom community.
Speaking of YOU –> if you aren’t on our email list yet — make sure you sign up now. Our list is the first to find out about future events, special promotions, and new blogging opportunities — around the web and even here at 5 Minutes for Mom.
We share exclusive gifts, content, and offers to our 5 Minutes for Mom email list and we have a few fabulous new email-only offers coming up very soon, including a new FREE report: 21 Sixty Second Tricks to Make Your Images POP! by 5 Minutes for Mom co-founder and professional photographer, Janice Croze. You do NOT want to miss out!
Meet Us…
If you’re new here, we are Janice and Susan, identical twin bloggers who each have two children and live two blocks apart.
I (Janice) have a 12 year old boy Jackson and a 6 year old girl Olivia.
Jackson and Olivia can be wild and crazy and love to “ham” it up on camera.
Our house is loud and chaotic, but full of fun.
Susan has an almost 9 year old girl Julia and a 6 year old girl Sophia.
Julia and Sophia are the calmer counterparts to their cousins, but still seem to make a lot of noise. Our three girls play together daily and are the best of friends.
Our kids have grown up here on 5 Minutes for Mom, and they love to see themselves in photos, videos and blog posts.
The older they get, the more involved they’re becoming as they help us make crafts and recipes to publish online. And they mostly love that this blogging business lets us work at home, around THEIR schedules.
We love being moms and we love blogging. Our lives are crazy and chaotic but we are thankful to spend our days in social media. We love connecting with blogging friends online and in person and at conferences.
The party officially starts at midnight Eastern tonight. So…
- If you have a blog, publish a “party post” with a UBP badge on your site.
- Add your blog party post url to the appropriate blog category Linky Lists that you’ll find below.
- Also you can add your Facebook Page link, your Twitter link AND/OR your Pinterest link to the appropriate Social Media Profile Linky Lists also listed below.
- Visit tons of blogs, facebook pages and follow new twitter friends from the Linky.
There will be tons of virtual partying going on this week and it all ENDS — 11:59pm Eastern, April 11, 2014. (Well, the link lists will live on forever and you can keep blog hopping for weeks and months to come… but the ‘official’ party will be over.)
Entries for the fabulous prizes close at 11:59pm Eastern, April 11, 2014. And then we will begin trying to draw ALL those winners! Please have patience.
Follow @5minutesformom and watch hashtag #UBP14 on Twitter.
Remember to post an Ultimate Blog Party badge on your site and invite everyone to party with you!

(b)A database for every constituency be made and wardwise distribution of voter list with aadhar no and finger prints must be available in MICRO CHIP fitted with sensor may be used during polls. (c)the polling officer should be provided with the abovesaid database wardwise and the voter whose finger print(after taking thumb or other impression on a sensor pad as used in preparing aadhar card)in the machine of booth matched with the no and name be given with PAPER BALLOT to cast his/her vote only. (d)in the above process booth capturing, fake voting, impersonification of votng can’t take place.only genuine voters will cas votes.3-to check the proliferation of BPL and other benefits /subsidies the account no,property deeds ,vehicles and other valuables bought and sold by the head of the family and the dependants(unmarried)be united into single account .4-Private engineering college, medical college, international schools, public schools should be marginalised, they should be there but to be strictly controlled about capitation fee and in matter of salary to employees.5-Every corruption starts in village on CONSTRUCTION WORK (drain, approach road, swearege, deepening of ponds and wells, indira awas, boundaries and rooms of club, schools, community hall, drinking water pipeline drainage etc).all these work are executed by the junior engineer from govt side and the BLOCK DEVELOPMENT OFFICER makes the signature on cheques,so the J.E of the blocks at the behest of officers do the primary work of collecting money from these contractors ,their job is to give the pass certificate to every work done by the petty contractors(knows nothing only political goons of the local mla in villages),if found guilty they should be sacked first.

I usually do not write a bunch of comments, but i did some searching and
wound up here The Ultimate Blog Party 2014 #UBP14 — 5 Minutes for Mom.
And I do have a few questions for you if it’s allright.
Is it only me or does it look like some of these responses look as if they are coming from brain dead folks?
😛 And, if you are writing on additional places, I would
like to keep up with anything new you have to post. Would you make a list of every one
of all your communal pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?

Hi, my name is Patrick, and I am a student at camp bizsmart. I’m setting up a survey for one of our products. I just need to know: How many moms would pay 60 dollars for a product that would effectively light up the wheels of strollers so that cars would see the stroller before its too late?

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add
to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates.
I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would
have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into
anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and

I’m really loving the theme/design of your web site.
Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility issues?
A handful of my blog visitors have complained about my blog not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari.
Do you have any solutions to help fix this problem?

Can I just say I am having such a blast with people stopping by my blog, Hearts Homeward, from this party! I am so grateful to you two for putting this huge undertaking together. I am looking forward to Saturday, the first day of our spring break, so I can sit with a cup of coffee and visit some of these amazing blogs. I love that you connect us all with people we would otherwise never meet. This is my first year and I’m already looking forward to next year. When I first heard “Blog Party” I thought, “huh?” (newbie that I am) and now I totally get it. Genius. Thank you again. It has been such a blessing to have people come over and leave such kind feedback on my blog. I pray you are doubly blessed for all you are doing for us.

Susan and Janice:
Thanks for hosting this tremendous opportunity for bloggers. I look forward to discovering lots of new blogs, and hopefully having a lot of visitors to mine. My blog is only three weeks old, and I still have a lot to learn – like how to embed a Badge into a post?! I’m still working on figuring that out – but at least I got the 2014 UPB badge displayed on my sidebar!
By the way I am also an identical twin – but we are “Susan and Sally”!
