For your family and loved ones, the holidays are a time to show you care with thoughtfully selected gifts. And you can really show how much you care when you give a practical gift of safety and security. Especially if you have college age kids or adult children who are living on their own… it’s a great idea to give them gifts that help them stay safe and keep their homes and belongings secure.
I’m a member of Master Lock’s Live Secure Safety Squad and have been compensated for my time in writing this post. My opinions are my own.
Over the last couple of years, I’ve been sharing safety and security tips as well as product suggestions from Master Lock. So today, I’m gathering a list of my top 5 picks for gift ideas.
1. Bluetooth Padlock
Master Lock Bluetooth Padlocks are perfect for Christmas presents for teenagers who need to use locks at school or at the gym. In fact, maybe your husband would like to use one of these handy locks at the gym.
Take a closer look in our video review.
2. Door Security Bar
Does someone you love have a patio door that could be more secure? Give him or her a Master Lock 265DCCSEN Door Security Bar and you’ll both have greater peace of mind.
You can see one of these security bars in our video here.
3. Master Lock SafeSpace
Master Lock No. 5900D SafeSpace® is a Portable Personal Safe that deters thieves and helps keep small valuables safe.
If you have a son or daughter away at college, this is a great way to help him or her protect her smart phone, credit cards and other small valuables in a dorm room or shared apartment.
Another great place to use this product is while working at a coffee shop or in an office cubicle. It’s easy in those environments for a passerby to quickly steal a smart phone or wallet off a table.
4. Sentry Safe Privacy Lock Chest
Sentry Safe offers a variety of sizes of lock chests as well as fire proof safes.
This waterproof fire-resistant chest has a carrying handle making it convenient to pick up and transport important documents and valuables.
The small or medium lock chest would be a great practical gift idea for almost anyone on your list.
5. Bike Lock
Bikes are so expensive these days, you definitely want to keep them safe. Master Lock has a variety of bike locks and one of our favorite is the Model No. 8195D Wide Hardened Steel U-Lock.
It’s hardened steel body resists cutting, sawing and prying. And we like that the carrier bracket included allows for easy transportation. If anyone on your shopping list has a great bike to protect, this lock would be a perfect gift.
I hope these gift ideas help you choose a helpful, useful gift for someone in your family or one of your good friends.
