Today, Guideposts published the first installment of my new weekly column on Guideposts.com.
Please join me as I reflect on mom “me” time…
I can hear myself think and all I can think of is that I miss the noise.
As a work-at-home mom with two young children and a husband, I don’t often eat a meal alone in a restaurant. But tonight my family is on the other side of the continent and I’m on a business trip in Disney World, alone. I don’t think there is a place on the planet where parental solitude is more punctuated than Disney World.
Just like so many bloggers, I have always loved to write, and being published at Guideposts is a dream come true…

I actually relish my getaway times, whether it’s business or pleasure. Two friends and I recently spent 24 hours together and it was great.
But there are times in the hustle and bustle of everyday when they’re both off at school that I DO find it to be awfully quiet.
Great column, and again — congrats!

Motherhood is the toughest job in the universe! No matter if you’re a Wahm or a Sahm .There’s guilt .I often think I should be colouring or painting or playing that game with her.My Mum”me’time is in the evening after a busy day with McKenna.I love it and I miss her.
