Certainly not! People need to take responsibility for themselves and their children.

No…it’s a very slippery slope. People have the freedom to write books and I have the freedom to choose what I want to read.

No,if we ban books then what’s next? We could ban a lot of things and be a communist country.

Absolutely not! It is about choice and you are able to have that choice whether to read it or not. If it is in a currculum and you are not too keen on your child reading it, speak to the teacher and find out why it was chosen and then make a decision if you would want your child to read it or not.

l don’t think books should be banned. I think everyone should self censor the books they read. In the case of schools I do think parents should be allowed to decide which books on the curriculum their children read.

I am doing book reviews on three books on the banned book list this week, if you would like to visit.
