A newly expanded and enhanced Bitty Baby doll line is due to arrive in American Girl stores on August 27, 2013. Get ready for more baby dolls and more adorable outfits and accessories…
This month, American Girl is making sure their younger audience has more options in their 15-inch Bitty Baby doll line that was created in 1995 to encourage nurturing play for girls ages 3 and up.
The new offerings include 11 different dolls with various skin tones, hair color, and eye color combinations, as well as new picture books, play sets, plush animals, and online activities.
“With so many new options to choose from, every little girl can now find the Bitty Baby doll that’s just right for her. After selecting her doll from the expanded choices, a girl will receive her Bitty Baby doll dressed in a signature sleeper, along with a special “wishing star” keepsake toy and Bitty Baby and Me, the first in a series of five hardcover picture books that inspire fun ways to play. Several new outfits in various designs are also available to allow a girl to further personalize her Bitty Baby.”
Shhhh… don’t tell my daughter Olivia, but a Bitty Baby is waiting for her! Olivia’s birthday is in September and, thanks to American Girl, I have a Bitty Baby tucked away for a very sweet birthday surprise.
When I was in Chicago last month for BlogHer, Jenny Ingram and Danielle Smith hosted an American Girl party at the incredible American Girl store in Chicago. The store is a two level doll-loving haven! It is unbelievable. And the party was a wonderful evening with blogging friends and American Girl sweetness.
And when Jenny and Danielle announced that American Girl would be shipping each of us our very own Bitty Baby, well the squeals from the women were as if their daughters had been there themselves! We were all just giddy with the chance to our design our very own Bitty Baby dolls. Thank you American Girl! (And on behalf of my little birthday girl, THANK YOU!)
It is almost time…
It is almost time for the new Bitty Babies to be available for purchase! So if your children want to cradle their own baby, head over to your local American Girl store or shop online at AmericanGirl.com on August 27. Your baby is waiting for you…
