Celebrating Brothers and Sisters with Cute as a Bug

Jackson had waited for so long. He had hoped, prayed, and even cried as the months and years went by, asking me, “Why won’t God give us a baby? You had one in your belly once – I remember.”
You see, when Jackson was three, I had a miscarriage and it broke his heart. Watching him suffer as he longed for another baby was torture. I begged God to give Jackson his little brother or sister.
I had almost given up hope and then I found out I was pregnant! I pleaded with God to keep this baby alive. It was Jackson’s special baby – the sibling he had prayed for.
From the moment we told Jackson we were having a baby, he has been ecstatic about being a big brother. And when Olivia arrived, his joy only increased. He is bursting with pride and love for his little baby sister.
So when I saw these t-shirts from Cute as a Bug I knew Jackson would love them. He is all about being the “big brother!”

Our stories are so similar…I lost a 7 week old baby earlier this year, and my 2 year old misses her sister so much. I’m now growing a baby brother for her, and she is SO excited.

Your post made me all misty-eyed! You see, I am the result of fervent prayer. My brother prayed and prayed for a little sister and God gave him me when he was 16! I would love these shirts–wish I could get them in adult sizes and I would get one for me and one for my brother!!
