My mother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant with my wife and chose to have the baby rather than start chemo. She died one year later, the day after Mother’s Day.
This Mother’s Day will be my wife’s first (my daughter is 5 weeks old!) and I want to honor Amy’s mom. Just watch the video and spread it around. If you can’t give to the cause, I just want as many people as possible to hear her story!

My mom would LOVE a coach purse or any other prize!!! Despite having a terminally ill disease called Chagas, my mom doesn’t complain and is always looking for ways she can to make others happy. My mom has a jtube in her intestines because she can’t eat, has a catheder in her heart for her medications, is in constant pain, and uses a wheelchair because she is so weak. Instead of being depressed, my mom has always looked at the glass half full, not half empty. She is an amazing woman and is not only my mom, but my very best friend.
Even though she has physical limitations, she is constantly doing what she can to think of others whether it be a phone call letting someone know she is thinking of them of sending them a letter of encouragement. My mom is the proud mother of 4 children and she has ALWAYS been there for all of us. No matter what we’ve been through in life, we’ve always had the love and support of my mom. I used to be a competitive figure skater and she was always sitting there in her wheelchair, cheering the loudest, and waiting to give me flowers when I was done. When I’ve been sad, my mom has been there to give me a big hug and helped to dry my tears. When I’ve had accomplishments, she’s been there to celebrate with me and has told me how proud she is of me. I am so very honored to have the incredible mom that I do and I want the whole world to know how proud I am to be her daughter. Life has not been easy for my mom with frequent hospital stays, but her attitude is something we should all strive to attain. If anyone deserves to win a Mother’s Day contest it is my very precious mom. I don’t know how much longer I have with her since her disease is progressing, but I cherish every moment with her. I LOVE YOU MOM and thank you for being the best role model I could ever ask for!!!! HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! YOU ARE AN ANGEL AND MY HERO!

This Mothers Day I have been desperately looking for a way to honor my sister. In 2006, both of her daughters were killed in an automobile accident. She still has one child on this earth, his name is Jesse; I know that Mothers Day is always very difficult for her because her daughters use to really make her feel special on Mothers Day. Last June (15th,fathers day) our Mother passed away from a disease called Amyloidosis at the early age of 67. We were all in shock, my sister was diagnosed with Krohns Disease shortly after my mother passed and it just seems that she hasnt had a break since the accident. I want so much for her to feel special and be reminded that she is still very much the “BEST MOM” even though the girls are not here to tell her. If there is a way she can get away or be pampered it would make my year. Thanks for giving people the opportunity to appeal on behalf of others that we deem worthy. Debbie
