I was provided a complete smile makeover from Ormco and Damon Braces. We were compensated throughout this campaign, however all opinions remain my own.

Here I am in my 11 month of wearing braces, and I cannot begin to tell you what a difference it has made in how I view myself. I was a person that kept my smile hidden because I thought it was ugly, and I had this notion that I would never have a beautiful smile, because adults didn’t wear braces. Boy was I ever wrong!

ME

Never in a million years did I think I would be able to smile and be proud of what I was seeing. It’s so hard now to get me to hide my grin.I still have a few months to go according to my orthodontist, but he is super excited and keeps telling me my life will never be the same again after I complete my entire treatment.

Now — I’m going to be smiling even more when I get to share this amazing surprise giveaway with you!

One of our readers is going to get a chance to win a smile makeover too worth $8,000!

Smile Makeover

Yes — you read that right. Ormco is giving away to one of the 5 Minutes for Mom readers a chance to win a complete smile makeover worth $8,000. You will be provided a smile makeover consisting of orthodontic consultation, treatment, records (x-rays, imaging), and related treatment and planning, up to a maximum of $8,000.

I am 68 years old and would like to win a smile makeover. I have many teeth missing they have rotted into the jaw line. I have about 10 teeth left, some on top some on the bottom. I have even gone as far as to make false teeth out of material they make fake nails with.

I am on Social Security and don’t have much money leftover at the end of a month after buying medicines and seeing Doctors.
Please if you could find it and your hearts to help an old lady good new teeth, it would be much appreciated.

I am 54 years old. My children are grown. Now is the time to get my smile make over. I found a dentist to see what all I needed done. I realized I will never be able to afford the 10,000 dollars worth of work I need done. As I have aged my teeth are showing a life time of raising my children to all the good and bad times of a life well lived. I would love and greatly appreciate a smile make over. If you consider me I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you!

It’s funny how wearing braces has become so popular nowadays, whereas about 10 years ago people wear ashamed to flash a smile because they were self conscious about people seeing their braces. One of my friends actually has great teeth but I can’t believe he’s gone out and spend money on braces. Wearing braces now is the new sexy so they say!

I would like to win because I’ve always disliked my teeth. Growing up my parents could only get one of us braces, my brother was older, so he got them. My tooth front teeth stick out farther in the front and I have rather large teeth so I was always called rabbit teeth or buck toothed. I am laughing or smiling about 75% of my day and I can ignore my teeth usually, but people love to take pictures and I hate my smile in pictures. Another main reason is because a few of my teeth are pushing sideways and they hurt often.
Thank you for the chance to win!

I had braces back when I was 11-12. They somewhat helped my teeth but since becoming an adult and having my wisdom teeth removed, my bite has been off and I still have quite an overbite. I’ve thought about adult braces, and even Invisalign, but my 2 daughters are now going through the orthodontic process and there just isn’t extra money for my teeth. I just continue to go through with the mouth-closed smile like I have for many years.

I would LOVE to win this for our (almost) eight year old daughter, because she still sucks her fingers at night, which has now caused an overbite.

We bought Mavalo-Stop, but she hid it from us, and we can’t keep buying more bottles.

    She will need work.

And, if the prize can’t be for her, I would use it on myself since I stopped wearing my retainer after I lost it for a second time, and some of my teeth shifted back.

I’ve invested a lot in my teeth this year, starting with a tooth that broke on popcorn in February. It was going to happen because the tooth was not well. I’m flossing, brushing with a soft toothbrush twice a day and getting my twice a year cleaning, so I’m doing what the dentist asks. It would be nice to close the gap between my front teeth that when the wisdom teeth came in closed a little. I love to smile and braces – either invisible (like Duchess Kate Middleton) or the regular kind would be fine. Four of my five kids had braces, so I know the commitment it takes for a good result.

I want to win because since I was little I was made fun of because I have a gap so I learned how to smile with my mouth closed even as an adult I don’t have any pictures that show my teeth.

I would love to win the smile makeover because I am self- conscious about my teeth and smile. When I smile, my lips get crooked. It’s not even a smile when I smile. I also have an underbite. Sometimes my jaw gets stuck and it’s annoying. I never show my teeth in pictures. I always wanted the damon system braces. Mostly everyone I know has them or is getting them soon and I’m here waiting… waiting… so it would be great to win this smile makeover. Thanks so much!

I have a dual bite (part of my teeth are an underbite while the rest are an over bite.) I would love to be able to get braces to fix it as it causes pain when I eat.

This would be such a dream come true for my granddaughter. She sucked her fingers and just couldn’t stop and now wishes she could go back in time.

She’s self aware too much of her smile and I’m afraid this will hold her back.

I would love to win this for my son. He is 11-years old and is currently going through the first phase of orthodontic treatment (expander/braces/top teeth). My dental insurance has a lifetime max for orthodontics and that has been used for my sons first phase. I have no idea how I’m going to pay for the second phase (Bottom & Top). He also has has a top tooth that is at an weird angle and we are not sure if it’s going to come down on it’s own.

I would love to win this because I wore braces as a child, but one chicken bone managed to undo the entire thing a couple of months after I got them off. I have thought about re-doing it, but there is never enough money…

I would like to win this for our son who is in college. We could never afford braces when he was younger. I love that he is giving it his all in college. I would love to give him this makeover so that when he is ready to graduate,, he can have the extra confidence of a beautiful smile as he gets ready to enter the job force. It is amazing how much confidence you can get from great teeth!!

I would love to win this for my husband! When he was younger he had teeth pulled out because of overcrowding and his mom could not afford braces. We have put invisilign & braces on two of our oldest girls and I always feel bad that we can’t afford to get them for him…of course if we did scrape up the money, he would never spend it on himself! I would love for him to have a great smile, thanks for the chance to win!

I would love to win this for my husband! He has always been self conscious of his smile and has been hiding it for years. He is in sales though and it impacts his business and our way of life. We have been trying to fix up his smile throughout our 9 years of marriage but keep having setbacks in other areas. It would change not only his life but the life of our entire family to have a smile he could be proud of!

I would so love to win this! I have some definite dental needs, but haven’t been able to attend to them since being diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer one year ago. I’m doing well, and the future looks good, but our medical bills and pharmacy costs are pretty staggering.

As much as I’d love to win this for myself, I want to win it even more for my 14 yr old son. He has a large gap in his front teeth and they turn slightly outward. He won’t ever do an open mouth smile because he’s too embarrassed by it. My insurance will only provide braces if it’s “necessary”, and a boy’s self esteem isn’t considered a necessity. As a single mom, it’s definitely an expense I can’t afford. He also has discoloration in his teeth as well. Because of how self conscious he is, something like these would be so much better for him than traditional braces that would bring more attention to him. Thank you for the opportunity!

I have had problems with my teeth my entire life, but I have never been financially stable enough to get them fixed. Having teeth that look good would make me feel good and I could smile again and mean it this time.

I used to have straight teeth when I was younger, but as the years have gone by my top teeth have shifted and they are crowding toward the front and I am very self conscious about them. I know I need braces but since our dental insurance doesn’t cover braces, I’ve been holding off. This would be fantastic if I won!

Like you, I have lived my entire adult life thinking I would always have that less that stellar smile, for multiple reasons. Expense has always been an issue. I struggled with my oldest daughter to get her through braces while she was, what I thought was ‘age appropriate’. The expense was overwhelming when I was trying to raise two daughters on my own. My teeth were never really an option. Now that I’ve hit that magical age of 50 I regret never doing anything about my teeth. Unfortunately, even though my girls are grown, expense still is an issue. I went from raising my daughters alone, to raising their children. At the young and tender ages of 3 & 6 we already know that two of them will require dental correction when they hit the right age. It’s equally as possible the third one will require them too. Once again, I put my dental health care on the back burner to take care of their teeth. It’s a choice I had to make for my girls, and now I’m faced with making the same choice for their boys. Naturally the mother/grandmother in me will put them first, thus tossing me back to the other reason … I’m too old for dental correction. I’d love to win a package like this and be able to put my dental health care back on the front burner. Without an awesome miracle, such as this, I’ll just have to wait until mine fall out and hope that dentures will give me that million dollar smile.

I’d love to win this for my hubby who is a little self-conscious about his teeth. He broke one of his teeth when he was younger and it still bothers him that it doesn’t line up perfectly with the others. Thanks for the chance to enter!

I’d like to win, because my teeth has been losing their whiteness, and I’ve been thinking about trying a product like this for a while now.
