SkinnySongs is not about dieting, and is not “workout music.” Instead, SkinnySongs is the first radio-hit-quality music specifically written to empower and inspire people to reach their weight and fitness goals. While some people listen to it while exercising or walking, others find it helps to listen to SkinnySongs even when driving or cooking —to get through rough days and strengthen their resolve to reach their goals.
When I was asked to review the SkinnySongs CD, I was a bit skeptical. However, I am trying to lose a few extra pounds to get swimsuit ready for an anniversary trip to the Caribbean that my husband and I are taking in May, so I am up to try anything.
My resolve to eat well fluctuates. I have a day or two where fruits and veggies taste really good, and I don’t even miss the ice cream (okay, I don’t miss it too much). It all comes down to motivation. Would I rather eat a lot of high-fat, high-calorie foods, or would I rather feel confident on the beach?
SkinnySongs really did motivate me. Listening to the CD made me want to go workout (and working out does not come easy to me). The songs are a mix of a modern country, hip hop, and rock.
