Tackle It Tuesday – Returning Home

Susan is Home!!!

… and now we have a ton to tackle!

AND I have been tackling all day!!! Today, I also returned home. I had been away with my little family for the long weekend. And after packing up and cleaning our cabin, (boy did I do a few tackles there cleaning the cabin to perfection – I even washed out the fridge!) and driving the long 6 hour drive home, I scrambled to unpack the car (okay, Phil did most of that!) get a load of laundry started and even tackle my fridge at home, before racing off to the airport to pick up Susan, Rob and Julia. (My fridge tackle at home was quite impressive if I do say so myself! I wish I had the photos to prove it – but not only did I not have a second to spare as I frantically cleaned in time to get to the airport, but the camera was of course still with Susan.)

So now, it is 10:30pm, and I am quickly writing up this post while Rob baths Julia. Due to late flights and missed connections, Sue, Rob and Julia had been traveling for 23 hours! Susan hasn’t slept for a second, since on all of their flights, she and Rob were seated separately. So she is a tad tired. Julia’s sleep schedule is quite crazy now, so I will look after her for a bit until she seems ready to go to sleep.

Tomorrow we will both be tackling loads of laundry for each of our households and hopefully beginning to tackle the disaster of Susan’s crashed laptop. It will be a long week and I am sure Susan and Julia’s jet lag will not make it easy! But I will try not to complain – I am just so happy to have them home!:)

I hope you are having fun with your tackles. Link up and show off! 🙂

Glad you’re back Susan! I can’t find my blog. Oh I can find it but I’m used to all my cute little bookmarks. We upgraded our Mac this week so I’ve been too busy playing with widgets. Need to get back on blogging. My tackle it Tuesday was to get everything installed and get back to work!
    I’ll blog next week!

You know, I just love how you and Susan tackle things together. Sometimes just having someone working alongside you makes the job easier.

This is my first official “Tackle it Tuesday” although the phrase goes through my head when I begin to take on a project. And…it just so happens today’s project happened upon me and it’s TUESDAY. So, I posted. Thanks for the encouragement.

Actually, he is not travelling as long as I thought, but long enough for an overseas flight.

My 9 year old daughter and I witnessed a fatal car accident over the weekend and my tackle it Tuesday was to actually write a post about it and discuss adolescent post traumatic stress. It was a lot to accomplish but it is done! It will post on 5/23/07 if anyone is interested in reading.

Wow. I can’t imagine having to readjust after a month-long stay halfway across the world! Grats on getting so much done!

I have a lot to do today too, but my main tackle is the exciting task of sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping my kitchen floor. Though I wonder what the point is when I have 3 kids ages 4, 2, & 1. *shrug* Oh well. A mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do I suppose. 🙂

I think, to some extent, having sick kids is a lot like going on vacation – you just don’t prep for it as much. So my tackle-it is to clean up where the world stopped when the babies got sick.

    Welcome back from Italy!!

Forgive me for not posting the pics, yet. Everything is in progress, and I’ve decided that posting pics is decreasing my effectiveness. I do have my color-coded list so it jumps out at me when I check my blog…

ACK! This is my first Tackle It Tuesday, and I just realized I used the wrong URL in my Mr. Linky post. I entered my blog address, instead of the permanent link. Can someone help me fix it? Thanks!

I’m excited about Tackle It Tuesday…just the motivation I need right now! Hope everyone has a productive day!

Welcome home, Susan. Now, try to get some rest and relax a bit before you dive into tackling!!

Sounds like you’ve been quite busy, Janice. That’s so kind to take care of Julia for a while as Susan rests.

My tackle is a bit intangible … at least not something I can capture on film but I am sooooo praying that it will work. I have started a new “program” to help my kids and myself to establish some much needed priorities and habits around the house. Hope I can post of miraculous results soon!

Our son takes about that long to see his girlfriend and she just lives interstate. I often think how he could go overseas instead in the same time.

It is impressive about the fridge cleaning.
