Tackle It Tuesday

Oh I wish I hadn’t procrastinated on this…

You know those tasks that you let move from one week’s to do list, on to the next week’s to do list, and so on and so on? Well, one of those items of procrastination has caught up with me.

Since Olivia was born, I have put off getting her a passport. I didn’t need it right away and so I kept procrastinating.

But now I have an unexpected trip coming up and Olivia must come with me (she nurses exclusively and absolutely refuses to even consider touching a bottle to her lips, let alone drink from it!) So I must get an urgent passport issued for her so she can travel.

So, today (well – yesterday – it is now after 2am as I type this up) I filled out the forms, and went and got her photo taken. Tomorrow (which is really today – Tuesday – oh I am going to be tired!) I have to go to the passport office and get the process started. I am sure hoping that I am able to get it issued in time! And I sure hope the line is not too long.

I had a crazy day of errands today and I still have more to do tomorrow. I put off errands and tried to get too many done in one day. I didn’t get to my computer until almost midnight! (Hence the reason I am posting at after 2am. So sorry to you faithful tacklers that the Mr Linky wasn’t up on time.)

So, I am not looking forward to doing more errands and standing in long line ups tomorrow at the passport office.

But at least, when I finally do get the passport safe in my hands, I will be able to cross it off my to do list!

It sounds so exciting getting a passport – I have never even been on a plane!!! I know, I live a sheltered life.

Good luck with getting the passport. Here in NY both parents need to be present to get a childs passport.

Hope it is some comfort, but I recently got my kids passports and I got them back in one week and two days! They were renewals, so they probably went a titch faster than new passports, but it was WAY sooner than the 6-8 weeks they told me!

Yes! Reading through the comments…..Carey brings up a good point. BOTH parents have to be present in Ohio too OR you have to have a notarized letter from the second parent authorizing it. AND the child has to be present. We found *that* out the hard way.

I’ve never had a passport – how sad is that? I need to get to travelin’! Hope you get it with ease today.

Good luck, and I hope the lines are short!

I took care of a much smaller and less important project, but one I also procrastinated with. I organized all of my sewing and embroidery thread. :-D

Oh I hope you can get it in time! Hmm, we’ve never gotten passports for any of us since we don’t travel much, but maybe we should look into that, just in case.

Hope it all goes smoothly for you, getting the passport!!
Try to enjoy your errands. When you are about to lose your mind, do some “people watching” – you are sure to find something (or someone) to smile about. *wink*

Blessings, Beckie :o )

Thanks!!

Shhh! Don’t mention passports… I’ve been putting that off for months and I don’t want my hubby to know.

I’ve been moving furniture around at my place. Can anyone say “a little obsessed with decorating?” Who me? Well, maybe! :)
