Fabulous prize and just want I need. More importantly spreading the word on food drives is so important all the time and especially around the holidays. We just started one at my work and have had such a great response!

  2. Tawnda says

there is never a bad time to have a food drive! Sometimes Ii think food banks ‘survive’ only because of these holiday drives… but people are hungry year-round too 😉

  3. says

I’m coordinating the food donation drive at my daughter’s school. The 5th grade class takes a field trip to the distribution center at the end of the donation drive. It’s pretty cool!

  4. katklaw777 says

Fantastic giveaway, thanks! The holidays is always a good time for a food drive and especially this year with the food banks being at an all time low. Donate canned goods people!!!

  5. katklaw777 says

I have donated to our local food drive, we always have one here around Thanksgiving. This year I gave canned beans because they are a good source of protein. Great giveaway, thanks again!

  6. Donna Holmberg says

Even in todays tight times, most of us can afford to help someone else out a little bit, and canned food drives are a great way to meet the most basic needs of people who are struggling financially.

  7. Donna Holmberg says

My co-worker is doing a canned food drive with her church, and so far I’ve filled a box and donated a free turkey to their Thanksgiving drive, and filled a box for their Christmas drive too.

I have also personally adopted a family through my church for Christmas and we will be having them over for a home cooked meal and gifts on Christmas day.

What an amazing giveaway!! I would LOVE to win this to help with holiday cooking for my family – I usually have to have everyone bring their crock pots so we have enough with just one! Love it!! :)

  9. judy brittle says

This is a wonderful cause and this year there are so many people that can use the help. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway and spreading the word!

  10. says

Wow, this lets you brown the meat first. That stops me every time if a recipie calls for that, I don’t do it in a crock pot. I really like being able to take it to the stove. Super.

Libby Food is number one in my book. Thanks for cluing us in on their giveaway.

I use my old slow cooker a lot, but would love one where I can sear the meat in the same pot.

    Happy Holidays.

  12. mickeyfan says

The first slow cooker I ever had (30 years ago) had the ability to sear…and I”ve missed that since it decided to die on me. Oh, pick me!!!

  13. Cee says

I would love to give this to a friend who is getting married in the Spring, and has expressed multiple times how she’d love a crockpot (but it’s not on her registry — I think it would make such a great Christmas gift).

Food security is an issue that’s close to my heart. I belong to a local group that deals with food security issues, and also support the Angel Food Ministries organization. Thank you for raising awareness about scarcity and how to help people in need, especially at the holidays!

  14. Brittney says

I’ve wanted a slow cooker for awhile now, but never broke down and bought one. We donate to local food pantries all the time. One of our local grocery stores even runs specials on canned food a certain times of the year to make it easier to buy and donate.

  15. Deb Anderson says

Hungry families need food year round, but the holidays put extra stress on already financially strapped families. A food drive during the holidays is just one way to help the needy and for the more fortunate among us to share the abundance. There are already several food drive initiatives in my community and I participate whenever I can.

  16. Shari says

What a wonderful cause! Thanks for the chance to participiate — winning something would just be icing on the cake. :)

  17. Elke McLeroy says

My slowcooker is about 30+ years old. It would be great to win a new model, considering that I use mine about once a week.

    Thank you

  18. Stephanie V says

oh – this is amazing! been thinking about these since often have no time to make dinner for my family of five

  19. Valerie Furr says

This is wonderful, it has hit real close to me with my daughter and her husbands laid off their jobs. I am going to pick up groceries for them today. This would be an awesome prize.

  20. jwb says

My slow cooker is small & older — this one woudl be great. I’m also glad Libby’s is sponsoring food drives — much needed in these hard times.

  21. McKim says

I love the slowcooker. I need a new crockpot – I got mine as a wedding gift 30 years ago! My workplace does a food drive each Thanksgiving and again at Christmas. We get a great response from employees.

  22. Adriane says

What a good prize. There are sooo many ways we can help the less fortunate, espcially during the holiday season.

  23. says

To many people don’t have enough food to eat. I remember going to bed a little hungry as a kid. We had food but we had to save some to last the whole week

  24. Vickie Couturier says

We are starting a food drive at my church right now,we usually give 4 families a couple of boxes filled with anything they might need,an we enjoy doing it

What a great idea! I immediately thought of all the big-batch cooking I could do with this, like making lots of my turkey and vegetable spaghetti sauce for the freezer. Thank you for the generous offer!

  27. elizabeth p says

We have a food drive at work and the best thing about it is the company matches with money the amount of food we bring in. I am blessed to work for a generous company.

  28. Kelly Ann T. says

We just finished a food drive at my college. I help set up and box up the cans. I’m a member of our volunteer club.

  29. Sylvie W. says

Oh, this is a good giveaway. I’m a firm believer in big-pot-cooking, one pot of food that stretches for the entire week. ow, combine that with one pot and I have one-big-pot cooking. Its a slam dunk. Easy to make and a time saver. Yeah.

  30. joni says

Everytime I go get a grocery order I pick up one extra item and donate it to my church each week.
    dolniaks[at]consolidated[dot]net

  31. Susan says

I watch sales and use coupons to buy extra non-perishable food and toiletries. My neighbor is very involved in her church out-reach program so I give the items to her. I’ve also gone with her to help sort and handout items.

  32. Tracey says

What a great cause and a great giveaway!

A few of the grocery stores I frequent always have a container or box where you can donate food, some even have a container to donate food to animal shelters. I try and do what I can year round when I see a great deal or have a great coupon and buy an extra can or two of soup, veggies, box of pasta or cereal to drop in the boxes.

  33. Sherri B. says

Way to go Libby’s! I know that our food banks around here really depend on the holidays to try to make it thru the rest of the year. They are especially hard hit this year due to the economy and loss of jobs. Thanks for promoting a great idea!

  34. Ellen Ring says

This would come in handy for the holiday cooking. We do participate in the local food drive & it’s great when big companies get involved.

  35. Jill Myrick says

I love that Libby’s is doing this for the holidays.
And your donation will feed so many for so little.
Thank you so much for the chance to win.

The ability to sear your meat on the stove and then start the slowing cooking is wonderful….I need a new crock-pot.

  37. Anne G says

I have been donating to the canned food drive my daughter’s school is running. It is great to get kids involved in giving.

  38. Tatum V says

  39. Pamela S says

A crockpot that is also a roaster. Or is it a roaster that’s also a crockpot? Either way it looks wonderful. Thanks so much!

  40. lovelife says

Hunger is a serious threat as this economy continues to struggle. Food drives need to be more common place as more and more families will need supplemental sources to meet their needs. Thank you for recognizing such a need. We can all do our part to help those around us!

  41. Jay F. says

I recently worked at our church’s annual food drive, and I must say that the generosity of my neighbors really is a delightful surprise. There were lots of cans and boxes of food donated, enough to keep more than 100 volunteers crazy-busy for about 3 hours. It seemed there were more donations than last year.

  42. sylvia morales says

What a wonderful program. I love to hear when big companies do great things for the needy. This is wonderful and I try to help at any food drives around here.

  43. Candie L says

I love how our community makes sure no one goes without during this holiday season. They make sure every one has food and at least a present under the tree. Thank you

  44. Jennifer Jozwiak says

Such a great slow cooker, i really hope i win! I always give canned goods on food drives and donate to my local food bank. You never know when you’ll be the family needing help.

  45. Deborah R says

I think Feeding America is a first class organization and I do support them…but their closest distribution site in my area is 2.5 hours away by car. Hungry people don’t have the gas money or time to drive a total of 5 hours to a food bank, so I contribute the bulk of my support to the small food banks that are operated by local churches here in my town and county. Knowing that Libby’s is supporting a good cause, I’ll be sure to look for Libby’s products when I shop for myself and for donations to the food banks.

  46. Nicole D. says

That Easy Sear insert looks awesome! I alsways have to brown my pot roast in a separate pot first, and this would eliminate that! Thanks for the chance to win it!

  47. Tim Hughes says

I can’t even imagine how good a roast would taste coming out of this compared to my $30 wonder-junk I have had for almost a decade now.

  48. Kimberly says

This looks so neat. I love using a slow cooker, but mine is a pretty low end version comapared to this. Thanks for sharing!
    kirbycolby at gmail dot com

  49. Sarah Pacilio says

This would be very useful for the holidays! Enter me to win!

We love to donate to any charity. Clothes and food whatever we can spare.

  50. Dorothy says

It so good to see big companies taking such an interest in those who are having tough times. Thanks for the chance to win this great prize.

  51. Kathy S says

I do appreciate the fact that you’ve taken on the initiative to make people more aware of the need of food drives and food pantries at this time in our country. We’ve tried to do our part by donating to our local food bank, participating in our local supermarket where if you buy a “store brand” item, they donate another to the food bank, and we also have made a point (not in the food category) of participating in Toys For Tots. Thanks for doing your part.
As for this prize, it would be greatly appreciated if I could win for my daughter who participates in a food co-op with other families where they all take turns cooking for each other’s families on rotating evenings. As they say….” It takes a village”, and in this case, we’ve all got to help each other out.

  52. Mary S says

Feeding America is a fantastic charity. I’ve bought several of Bob Dylan’s Christmas In The Heart albums as gifts(one for me of course)as proceeds from all U.S. sales go to Feeding America.

  53. Jessica says

What a great idea. Everyone should try to give back year round, especially during the holiday season. I’ll be sure to send this page to friends.

  54. john pratt says

thanks for helping the less fortunate. we did a food drive here at work to help them also. may GOD bless you. i hope all have a safe and happy holiday season.

  55. Roxann says

I have never owned a slow cooker but would love to win this one. Thanks for the chance and thanks to Libby’s for a great program!
