Win a $75 Maukilo Gift Card

There is something timeless and stimulating about a wooden toy. Rather than watch your child get sucked into the synthesized world of flashing lights and robotic noises, you see them use their own imaginations. A child’s creativity seeps out when he is given a toy that doesn’t do all the work for him.

maukilo_header2Maukilo, a unique, online boutique, prides itself in offering European made and inspired baby, toddler and kid’s toys that stimulate your child’s imagination.

They sell wooden and plastic toys that are natural, non-toxic and made to inspire children. From school accessories to games to toys for older and younger children, Maukilo has a broad selection of products for moms and dads to choose from. All of their toys are made to last and are battery free.

As the holiday season approaches, perhaps many of you feel the same way I do: What can I possibly get my children that they will enoy playing with and that won’t drive me crazy?! I love battery free toys for this very reason. And so do my children! So it’s a win-win for everyone.003575_4c_02LR[1]

I think the Haba Marble Runs are all great. I think you can put mutiple sets together, too. They would be awesome for both our kids (with close supervision for the 2 year old)!

They have such a wonderful selection…
I love the HABA Bunny Hugo Cuddling Muslin
with teething ring. The whole baby line is adorable.

  11. Sarah C says

Wow! It is so hard to pick a favorite from that site! Our whole family would enjoy the Marble Run by Haba, and my kids would enjoy the play food and dishes.

  12. Julie Smith says

What a great website! I love the selection of games as well as the selection of building blocks. I looked at some of the Oopsy Daisy Art items, but they are so popular that most of them are sold out. :)

  13. Aimee Wade says

I love the teas set – especially that it is gender neutral. Most are pink and very girly. Boys can have tea parties too!

  14. says

I try to have exclusively wooden and creative toys for my kids, so we would REALLY enjoy this!

The first thing that caught my eye on their website was the HABA Advent Calendar. We like advent calendars, but they do tend to be wasteful cardboard affairs…

  15. says

I’ve often wondered what the point is of having SO many features in some of these baby toys – are the babies really learning anything from fancy toys that have ABCs and 123s all over them, along with flashing lights and songs? I’d rather give my kids some wooden toys like these – thanks for the opportunity to win!

  16. says

Forgot to say I can’t decide on one! I would love to grab up lots of the gardening tools, as 3 of my children love to dig in the dirt. 😛 Signing up for your feed.

  17. Maggie M says

  26. Heather N says

We love wooden toys. I’ve been blessed to have a father that made a few for us and our children and they are timeless pieces to cherish…although I’m not always willing to let the kids bang them up so this gc would be great for the kids to play with cool wooden toys and not worried about breaking something made w/ love by papa that can’t be replaced.

  27. trishden says

Hi, I know a little boy who’s teething badly and the Trix Teether seems like just what the doctor orders and it’s an award winner too. Thanks for a great giveaway!
