French Dip Sliders combine smoky roast beef and smooth provolone cheese with sweet rolls to create a mouthwatering option for dinner (the kids will LOVE these) or your game day party!

My entire family absolutely loves these French Dip Sliders. I could easily make two full pans of these and they would still probably all be gone in one night!

Sweet dinner rolls are always a hit and can be eaten all by themselves. But add some delicious deli roast beef and sliced provolone cheese along with some Au Jus gravy for dipping? Yes, please!!

To make these French Dip Sliders you need a few simple ingredients.

  • Sweet dinner rolls (like Hawaiian rolls)
  • 12 oz roast beef
  • 10-12 slices provolone cheese
  • Au Jus gravy mix
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Garlic salt
  • Onion salt
  • Dried thyme

Here is how to make these French Dip Sliders:

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Take 9 of your sweet Hawaiian rolls and cut them in half like so…

Lay the bottoms of the rolls on the bottom of a square pan. Lay 6 slices of provolone cheese on top of the rolls, followed by all the slices of roast beef placed evenly on the cheese. Top the roast beef with more slices of provolone, then add the tops of the Hawaiian rolls.

Set the sliders aside for now. Add 2 tsp of the Au Jus gravy mix, 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/8 tsp garlic salt, 1/8 tsp onion salt, and 1/8 tsp dried thyme to a small bowl, whisk together.

Using a basting brush, baste the tops of the sliders with the mixture. Use it all.

Bake your sliders in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are heated through. You may need to cover the tops loosely with foil to keep them from getting too brown.

While your sliders are baking, mix the rest of your Au Jus gravy mix according to package directions, adjusting for the mix you already used. My package called for 3 cups of water, however, since I used some of the mix for the tops of the sliders, I only used 2 cups of water for the rest of the mix.

Once the sliders are heated through, remove from oven and use a knife to slice them apart.

Do these not look amazing?!

Serve warm with a small container of the Au Jus gravy for dipping. You won’t regret it.

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Slice Hawaiian rolls in half, place the bottoms in a square baking pan.
  • Lay 5-6 slices of provolone cheese on rolls.

  • While the sliders are baking prepare Au Jus mix according to package directions, adjusting for the mix you used. (See notes.)

Notes

My Au Jus gravy package said 3 cups of water, but I used 2 cups of water since we used 2 tsp to make the topping for the sliders.
