Feast or Famine!

Girls – you are NOT going to believe this!!! Susan is pregnant too! Yes – and maybe only a few weeks behind me! She will have an ultrasound in two weeks to see how far along she is.

Oh my!

Now to understand the shock of this – you must understand that babies don’t come that easily to Susan or me. Susan tried for three years to get pregnant with Julia and I have tried for the last two years to have a second baby. And now – we are pregnant within weeks of each other!

Yes – we are excited and praying that both of our pregnancies will be full term and we will both get to hold healthy babies in the fall.

But we are a little overwhelmed too. Susan and I often joke that together we make up one healthy person. We share our work load. With my health problems, Susan has been a lifesaver for me, helping me out with Jackson so that I can get enough rest etc. And as work-at-home moms, we raise our kids together so that at least one of us can try to get some work done during the day.

And now we have two babies (we are praying that there is only one in Sue’s belly!!!) coming in the Christmas rush season. Yes – it will be crazy!!! (We will have to hire someone to help our mom, Joan, with the stores. Last Christmas season was crazy enough – I can’t even imagine how we will do it with two newborns!)

But on the wonderful side – how fun it will be to have our babies the same age! We wanted to have kids together when we started trying six years ago, and now it might actually be happening!

So, while we sit stunned and scared, we are also super excited. And now we are just praying for her baby to “stick” too!!!

And now – on a completely different subject – Faith Lifts is revealing the new Faith Lifts site today. Make sure you had over and check out all the exciting changes. Heather, Laura and our contributors (including lots of new contributors!) have worked so hard to make it happen. Thanks so much ladies!!! You rock! 🙂

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You ladies BOTH just enjoy your pregnancies as much as you can, and if you need to slack off here you do it… the babies are much more important than a little networking and link juicing for a day or two.
Wow wow wow… I am so vicariously happy for your whole extended family. 🙂 🙂 🙂

As an adoptive mom of 3½ children (we’re in the process of adopting the 2 month old in our care, Mr. #4), and as one who knows the heartache of infertility firsthand, I truly understand how MAJORLY AWESOME this news is for the two of your and your husbands. So I say,……..WHOOHOO! Congratulations, Susan. I’ll pray for the details of both pregnancies and I’ll look forward to letting the two of you take over the night shift (so *I* can get some sleep, lol).
    Blessings,

I laughed when people said it could be like this!! I think I am crazy!! Anyway I am so very very happy for you. I can’t imagine the stress of two co-working sisters are having!! Have fun!
