IKEA Experiment with Time Travel #IKEAtimetravel

Susan here to share a fun video with you. This post is sponsored, but my opinions are my own.

IKEA is a shopping experience unlike any other. Their unique layout sends you winding through a path of possibilities for designing your home that sets your mind in motion imagining your future.

In this fun new video, IKEA goes further and invites a young couple to take a much bigger step in envisioning future stages of their lives.

Watch the video and imagine how you’d respond…

In a “time travel” illusion, world-renowned hypnotist Justin Tranz, approaches a young couple shopping in the store. This couple doesn’t yet have children, and he puts them in a deep trance and then guides them through a time journey revealing shocking details of their future.

They meet their “future” (and not-so-sweet) daughter on her 6th birthday…

then fight with her as a teenager…

and have a very awkward and humorous encounter in the bathroom with the her future boyfriend, years later.

Justin Tranz has performed in over 6,000 stage shows and is the only hypnotist in history to ever legitimately perform on Broadway.

With the Time Travel Experiment, IKEA collaborated with Tranz to highlight events that change how we live and our everyday lives.

“The everyday is exciting! It’s on those seemingly ordinary days life happens and changes. And when it does, so does our home”, says Johan Wickmark, Global Catalogue Manager.

What a cute video. I love Ikea stores. They are a lot of fun. I just wish their furniture wasn’t so ugly. Not my taste. Thanks for sharing!

I have never been hypnotized nor do I think I want to be. I would hate for some word to trigger a reaction that I couldn’t control years later.
