One of the newest little gadgets out is the HP Chromebook 14. If you are unfamiliar with what a Chromebook is, let me explain. A Chromebook is a personal computer running a Chrome OS operating system. A Chromebook can be used while connected to the internet and supports apps that reside on the internet. A traditional app would usually reside on the computer itself. The data is stored in a cloud accessed by an internet connection.

The latest Chromebook from HP, Chromebook 14, comes in three really cool colors: Snow White, Ocean Turquoise, and Coral Peach. They are fun and cheerful and perfect for tweens, teens, college students and adults. I would totally love the Coral Peach Chromebook 14! As the name suggests, the Chromebook 14 has a 14-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution. The HP Chromebook 14 measures about 1 inch thin and weighs 4 pounds. The HP Chromebook 14 also has the standard Chromebook keyboard layout.

Some of the other features of the HP Chromebook 14 include 16GB of storage, an HDMI port,  USB 2.0 AND USB 3.0 ports, an SD card slot, an HD webcam and 9.5 hours of battery life. If you would like to purchase one this holiday season, you would receive 100GB of Google Drive for free for two years. {there is the option to purchase additional data packages} It also includes 12 free sessions of GoGo Inflight Internet service{internet access when you fly} and a 60-day subscription to Google Play Music All Access{listen to millions of songs}.

The HP Chromebook 14 has built-in 4G broadband capability. You can store and access your information at any time over a wi-fi connection safely and securely. The HP Chromebook 14 has all the favorite Google apps installed already. You simply open the package and you are set to utilize gmail, drive, and youtube. One can quickly hop on the web store for all of the latest games and apps.

The HP Chromebook 14 is $299.99 and is available now for purchase this holiday season. I happen to think the HP Chromebook is the perfect gift for any child in your home. I have three little ones in my home who are always begging to use my laptop. I have loads of client imformation on my laptop and I very much need my laptop to work perfectly. I love the idea of the HP Chromebook 14 for my kiddos to share and ensure that my personal files are safe from their wandering fingers.

A Chromebook is a simpler laptop and a much simpler laptop means less complexity.  A less complex computer also means less problems and more enjoyment, for the entire family. Chromebooks do not need support because there is nothing to install. The Chromebook will update itself and one can do everything on it. All that is needed is an internet connection. One can have different user accounts for each of person in the family. Since there is not any data stored on the Chromebook, it is a great device to share in any family, especially mine. {I don’t have to worry about my kids deleting any of my clients information}

With a starting price of $299.99 for the Wi-Fi-only version of the HP Chromebook 14, each of my children could have their own. This larger Chromebook would fit our lifestyle perfectly. If you are looking for an affordable laptop for your family, the HP Chromebook is the perfect fit.

  25. Casey A says

My daughter who will be turning 8 december 12th would love it too! She would get a lot of use out of it for school as well as entertainment and who doesn’t want my 8yr old to be entertained? Oh and to top it off I have a beautiful 6 month old baby girl who loves watching baby einstien on youtube and oh if you took one look at her big brown eyes you would melt and give her everything in this world!

    I love the chrome OS. My husband has been using it since 2011, I just came into it in 2012 and couldn’t see going back. It is great for our business and the kids. You can set up each access apps for the kids and not worry about them downloading anything crazy onto the computer. Love it.
