Welcome to Day 9 in our 10 Days of Disney Video Tour.
As we showed you yesterday, Disney Cruise Line specializes in entertaining kids in the most magical ways.
Here we let you in on one of the fun activities your kids will experience on board.
Watch Jackson learn how to make Flubber…
Here is the RECIPE for FLUBBER so your kids can get in on the action!
In one container (beaker) mix together:
• 50ml Blue Glue (we use Elmers)
• 2 teaspoons of water
• 1 drop of yellow food colouringIn a second container (flask) mix together:
• 2 soup spoons of water
• 1 teaspoon of Borax (soap powder/brand name laundry detergent) – this is what’s known as the “PIXIE DUSTâ€Add the two solutions together and stir well, and voila…Flubber should appear!
Be careful not to add too much food colouring or it will turn a brown colour instead of green. For added bounciness place in the fridge for 30 minutes after making it!

I subscribe. =)
My daughter loves to do simple science experiments!
I’m a subscriber
My son’s too young for science experiments but I’m sure he’s love to do them when he’s older!
my girls love science experiments
Oops! I forgot to say that my 3-year-old is a bit young for science experiments, but she’d have fun doing this kind of project, I think. 🙂
Cool! What kid wouldn’t LOVE to make flubber? It’s messy, gooey, and all kinds of fun. But does it stain…?
Also: are you two wearing matching shirts? So cute!

Great experiment! I’m going to try it with my kids….just because I want an excuse to play with it!!!
My daughter is only 1 so she has not done any yet but her grandpa and dad our chemists so I am sure she will love them!
My oldest son love to do science experiments. Our most recent was making crystals.

My five-year-old does! He’s already asking for a chemistry set. (Hm.)
Mine are still too young. Do mud pies count? LOL
She’s not yet old enough for science experiments yet, but some of the things she does with her dinner could certainly qualify…

My son absolutely loves science experiments.
My girls are only 3.5 so they’re a little young for all but the most basic “science” experiments. They love the show “Sid the Science Kid” on PBS so we have done some “experiments” like making water change color. Nothing too complicated.
We love doing science experiments. Our favorite so far was creating erupting volcanoes. Flubber sounds like it would be a hit around here too!
My kids love science experiments. They would love trying to make flubber as well 🙂

The kids love to do science experiments – like the little magic school bus kits. They love microscopes and any scope especially.
Well my toddler is so small but I definitely think she would love doing experiments. She loves mixing things like soap and water outside.
Will have to make some flubber and see if my kids like! I’m sure they would!

My children are not old enough to do science experiments unless it involves making pureed squash disappear.

My son LOVES science experiments! He has a little science kit that he would play with all day!

My kids love experimenting with everything…i think it’s pretty much in their everyday life.
My kids LOVE science experiments! Just watched the Flubber video with my son (and I’ll show my daughter after school), and we are definitely going to make some — just need to pick up some glue!
How fun! Again no kids at home but I would say hubs is a kid at heart and always loves a good science experiment ha ha

My son is the experimenter of the family always mixing foods and condiments. lol
My daughter likes to do tactile science and I love to teach her cause and effect. She is 2 so we have a lot of fun learning basic science skills. She loves Mickey and Tink :)!

my kids absolutely love science and experiments. my husband is a in college studying to become a biochemist, so my kids know about molecules, rna, dna,and so much more
Around our house, experiments are ALWAYS welcomed! Great way to kill time, and actually learn something!
My 5 year old is still a bit young for what i would consider a science experiment but she sure does a lot of experimenting with things around the house.
our toddler is too young for much by way of science experiments yet, but the boys like them every so often.
My girls absolutely love to do different experiences. This would be a lot of fun to make with them!
Well, the big “kid” in my house loves science and doing all kinds of experiments so I’m sure just as soon as the little man is big enough to be involved safely he will be!
My kids enjoyed science experiments when they were little, but due to science fair at school, they have taken all the fun out of them. They would still enjoy the things we would do in the kitchen like making volcanoes, but we just don’t get time to do that anymore.

Oh my niece love love loves science experiments but they usually involve things like “what will happen if i put ice cream on a pop tart and then eat it” LOL
Go to Disneyland Paris next time. Less rides but there is good French wine available everywhere.
Cheers!
Val
Yep, but guess who has to clean it up?
We’ve done very few experiments here, but they sure loved what we did do, especially mixing colors.
My boys aren’t quite old enough for experiments yet, but I’m anticipating…
My kids are too little, but I’m a scientist, so they will be doing science experiments as soon as they get a little older!
I subscribe to the newsletter!
My son isn’t old enough to do experiments but when I was younger I loved it! I even did a science fair project on why apples turn brown =)
We love science experiments at our house! Some are actual science experiments, some turn into experiments when boredom sets in and concoctions are made just to “see what happens.” My boys are really curious and like to know how things work, so anything science related gets a pretty good reception in our home.
Yes, they’ve always loved them!

My oldest daughter’s favorite subject is science. She loves it so much I actually enrolled her in what is called “Mad Science” here after school. She has learned lots of great things there. So fun!
My son, Austen, LOVES to do science experiments. He especially likes to mix up magic potions. He gets a container and goes all around the house to find liquids to mix in it, like hand soap, juice, shampoo, toothpaste, laundry soap, and more! He makes a huge mess, but he loves to be a “scientist”!
your button is on my blog

mine loves to and he wants to be a scientist when he grows up. we’ll see if he outgrows it.
not yet, but when I was a kid I had a chemistry set….it was fun!

One of these days we’ll go on a Disney cruise… this looks like so much fun!

My kids LOVE science experiments! Which I think is awesome because I do as well!
I have a four year old and surprisingly enough he loves to do experiments. He loves to learn how things work and operate. We do science stuff all the time.
I subscribe to the newsletter.
My son is 16 months old so everything feels like an experiement sometimes! If he follows in his Dad’s ways I’m sure he will love experiments when he is a little older.
I’m sure my 1 ad 2 yo will love to do them in the future but not so much right now. It doesn’t matter if we are coloring, singing, reading or staring at the ceiling..if it is a mommy/Chloe activity she loves it!
My kids are 2yo, 1yo, and another on the way. . . but it won’t be long!! My son is into everything, exploring his world! So I’m sure he will love science experiments very soon. 🙂
my kids are too young, unless you counting baking, they love making brownies
My son is a big fan of experiments. He and my husband have a blast trying new things. Thanks for the chance.
My son would love making flubber! How much fun!

My daughter is still too young for actual science experiments, but she loves new things nad she loves helping me cook. I think this flubber would be a great way to introduce her to the world of science.
yes! but mostly they love anything that involves making a mess on purpose.

making the flubber looked like fun
I’m just so excited to be the 1st commenter today! Yeah! Can you tell I really want to win one of these Disney prizes?!
Where is the recipe for Flubber? It looks fun and easy to make.
My son loves Science and loves doing Science Experiments. We have actually done this one before. He has a Science Kit that he got for Christmas that gives him the recipe for 6 different types of goo. He loves it.
Kids are still too young for a true science experiment but they love to do new things and they love to do some new experiments that we try out in the kitchen 🙂
No kids, but I like science experiments… especially the kind where you mix up yummy things like flour, sugar and chocolate and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. He hee. Does that count? 😉

It depends what we’re studying in science whether or not they are interested in experiments. This flubber experiment looks like great fun though. Love the professor’s hair!
