Board Book Reading with Your #FeministBaby

5 Minutes for Books‘ reviewer Dawn shares a new board book for babies and toddlers from Disney Hyperion. Don’t miss the prize pack giveaway worth over $50! Thanks to Disney for sending me a copy of the board book and providing a prize pack for our winner.

FEMINIST BABY- new board book from Disney Books!

Feminism is a “hot” word, conjuring up different images for different people, but the definition is pretty straightforward– advocating for women’s rights on the basis of equality of the sexes. Loryn Brantz takes this idea and applies it to the behavior of a baby girl in the board book Feminist Baby, and this particular baby acts in ways that parents of children of any gender will absolutely recognize.

Whether she’s playing with dolls or cars, this baby is a happy, and perhaps a bit wild, child. She’s most definitely adorable, and her feisty spirit comes across when she’s jamming out on the guitar or while she’s making a (glorious-to-her) mess.
