Breathing in every moment of springtime. I love the pink of our rhododendron flowers.
Update: 10 Springtimes Later
I originally published this post in May 2015, and it’s now July 2025.
Sadly, my mom who planted and tended to these rhododendron flowers and so many other plants and flowers in her garden now has Alzheimer’s and is struggling to remember how to look after her garden.
Susan and I have had to start helping her more and more with the gardening. It’s such a difficult stage of life to watch your own parent decline in their abilities.
But as I look at this post, I’m trying to remember the joy that gardening has always brought my mother.
Over the years here at 5 Minutes for Mom, we have written several blog posts about gardening that you may enjoy. Here are a few of our favorite gardening posts…
And we also wrote a 4-Part Container Gardening Series…
Part 1 – Planning your Containers and Space
Part 2 – Deciding what to Plant
Part 3 – Tools and Supplies You Need For Container Gardening
Part 4 – Keeping Your Container Gardening Pots Looking Their Best
Plus an extra bonus post – Container Gardening Fall Cleanup and Pot Storage
