  9. Well, I was a second-born weenie, so maybe you shouldn’t base your theory on me. 😉 What a great smile!

  10. Stephanie says:

All my kids are brave – except the 1st born. He is the biggest chicken EVER. He’s 9 and just barely decided to try and learn how to ride a bike. But he’ll only practice in the grass. lol

  11. Awww, so so sweet 🙂 Thanks for hosting!

  23. Love the unadulterated glee!

  24. looks like she is loving it. it makes me want to swing on a rope swing :).

our 2nd child seems more fearless, but i don’t know if it’s because he’s a boy or if it’s because he’s the 2nd child (our 1st is a girl) or if it’s a little bit of both. although, our 1st child seemed fearless when she was younger, but now that she’s a bit older she seems more cautious about certain things.

  27. If you think your 2nd born is braver imagine my 4th – it’s a wonder my heart is still beating after all she has put it through – wonderful shot of your little one – so full of joy!

  28. Stacy (the Random Cool Chick) says:

That big beautiful grin says it all! 🙂

  29. Serendipity is Sweet says:

Beautiful pic! In our case, my second born is not braver. Our first born is a boy…a dare devil whom I caught propping his bike ramp on top of cinderblocks last night in an effort to catch bigger air! My second is a daughter, more of a girly girl. She’s pretty good at holding her own, but definitely more cautious than #1.

    Have a great Wed 🙂

  30. As a child Rope swing where the greatest. I will need to find a tree to put one up.

  31. She is a beauty and that looks like a professional shot!

  32. She looks like she is having a great time!

  33. Great photo. You take great photographs of your daughter. She has a beautiful smile.

  34. Susie's Homemade says:

I think if the kids are close in age, the second one can tend to be braver. If they are farther apart, the younger one can depend a little more on the older ones and then, develope slower.

  35. She looks like she is having a ball! 😀

  36. TheAngelForever says:

What a great photo! I still need to go and reply to your Second Child post. I think in the case of our family it is VERY true. My little guy has no fear and loves to try anything/everything.

  37. Deb - Mom of 3 Girls says:

  40. Owen's Mom says:

Yes! My daughter is braver, but also acts wiser. She doesn’t make the same mistakes her brother did before her. Well, and we are better parents now.

  41. Jacqueline says:

Ah! She looks like she’s enjoying one of my favorite pastimes as a child! 🙂

  42. Aww kids swinging is the BEST!

  43. That is a question I will never have the answer to as the mother of an only child…and he is a bit of a scaredy cat. 😉

  48. I have 2 older girls and I’d have to say my 2nd one is intentionally braver. Don’t make me explain! LOL

Of my 2 younger boys, I’d have to say the 2nd one is braver. My 1st wants to be braver so he does try. =)
