Summertime and the living is easy. It’s time for sunshine, swimming, parties and backyard barbecues.
My husband and I recently purchased our first grill and are looking forward to hosting several fun backyard parties this summer. In fact, we have one in store for July 4th, and I am so excited.
Thanks to Hebrew National, my 4th of July barbecue is bound to be a blast. Not only am I looking forward to friends, family and food, but I love, LOVE that I also get to enjoy Hebrew National hot dogs at my event.

My Mother’s 60th birthday is July 3rd. She lives 8 hrs from me. I was going to surprise visit her for her party on the 4th. There will be 5 generations there. It will also be the first time all her kids have been together in years. Winning this would truly make her party and the day something special for her and our family. I’m expecting my 1rst grandchild; which is going to be a baby boy!! My son, and his wife are really struggling; and $1,000.00 would help them out a lot!! At this time the are living with her parents, and although it wouldn’t buy them a place of their own; it would greatly help them with such things as baby diapers-(which are expensive)-and baby clothes, pacifers, and maybe even a car seat, and a baby swing!!

My son is getting married in 2 weeks. We will be celebrating our Independance Day at Dana Point with my son’s soon to be in-laws. There will be lots of family and friends. With the wedding expences, this would be great, a one last shindig before the big day. We love to get Hebrew National every time we visit Costco.

No soda for kids. I don’t drink it either very often. It’s water, milk, or juice for kids and me. The girls drink much more water now that we each have our own stainless steel water bottles. They do occasionly get a small glass of soda as a treat. It’s usually soda I make at home or maybe some sprite or rootbeer.

My “NO” is soda. My 6 year old gets the choice of milk, juice, or water for meals and snacks.

I can honestly say I’ve never tasted a Hebrew National hot dog but I’m assuming they are good being they have the 4 NO’s in them, or not, in them.
We have 7 adult children and 19 soon to be 20 grandkids We always go to Ceder Key beach for a bar b que and beach and fishing time a nd then in the evening watch the fireworks

wow! This would be great! Every 4th of July my family and in-laws get together to have a picnic, enjoy fireworks and celebrate family birthdays. All of my inlaws’ and my husband’s birthdays are in late June or on July 4th or just a few days within 4th of July. This year will be a bit different, my MIL lost her home to foreclosure and unemployment. Still celebrating, just on a smaller scale hosted in my tiny apartment.
What a great prize. Hebrew National are the only hot dogs I will eat. Thanks!

My personal No’s for raising my kids? If I can’t pronounce most of the ingredients (desserts and treats are an exception), it doesn’t go in their mouths. It’s hard to do but it will pay off in the end!

Because my husband is currently deployed to Iraq, we aren’t having a huge July 4th BBQ, but as usual we will probably throw some hot dogs on the grill in our usual tradition. We’ll save the big BBQ for his welcome home party!

Wow, this would absolutely be a dream come true! My family always has a pretty big 4th of July bash, but winning the gift card would really take it over the top this year. It would be great to hire a DJ or rent out fancy audio equipment for music and karaoke, buy tons of great food, drinks, and sweets for everyone to enjoy, and really do things up with decorations, lighting, and maybe even a tent in case of rain. What a great prize! Currently my “No’s” for nutrition are based on my son’s allergies: no dairy, no eggs and no nuts. But I find the whole family is eating healthier as a result!

What a cool Idea! This would be really great Hebrew National is a favorite!
I’m celebrating my daughter’s 1st birthday this July 4th weekend (on July 5th). She is my first baby and my party is a means of celebrating her birthday along with my ‘mommy’ achievements which include providing expressed milk to her till date and building a much stronger relationship with my mom. I spent 5 months with my baby before I went back to working full-time. She didn’t take milk from my breast since day 4 of her birth and I wanted to give her only my milk so I pumped several times a day and continue to do so now as well (my biggest achievement beside others). Another step I took was to call my mother to live with me so that she could care for my baby when I went back to work. Unbelievably this has worked out great for me, my baby, my mother and our relationship. I have to admit that it was not as good before my baby was born and so I was very hesitant at first but I made the move and God has rewarded me for this positive step forward. For the party I’m inviting my friends, their kids and my mom’s friends as well and we are cutting 2 cakes (1 for my baby and the other 1 for my mom and me 🙂 ). I’m also giving my mom a small gift (but if I won this prize I would get her a plane ticket for a week to visit her sister and their kids in San Jose, California). My husband and I are very excited to celebrate these two occasions also because this is going to be our 1st barbeque party in our 1st home. Last weekend we finished painting our deck and this weekend we are getting our grill and patio furniture for the deck. If I won this gift card I can see how I’ll save on the many expenses we’ve planned and probably will get my daughter more gifts. By the way all the food I get is only Kosher and/or halal so of course Hebrew National was on the menu … since I give no other ‘dog’ this Authority!!
We are planning a huge celebration with all of our extended family, and this would be most helpful.

We usually stay close to home. I would love to have a BBQ as the kids get older where we invite everyone and head down to the lake to watch the fireworks.

My husband and I just love to entertain, we have a large family and circle of friends and we truly enjoy throwing a fun and festive party for our friends and family. Money has been very tight for us these past several months so we probably won’t be doing as much entertaining because it does indeed get expensive. It would be such an amazing opportunity to win this giveaway so we could reciprocate to our family and friends by having a wonderful get together at our home because they have had us over so many times and truly we need to do the same for them. My only grandchild is walking and they are coming for the 4th………it is really big deal here in this little town of fewer than 700 people……..a parade, Lions barbeque, etc.

One of the No’s I have for my kids & eating is that they are not allowed to have soda before they are 3 (I try to wait till 4 or 5, but that’s not always possible). And they for sure only get pop at that age maybe 2 or 3 times a year. I was just amazed at the number of babies & toddlers I saw when I was a nursery director with soda in their bottles or sippy cups.

Wow, with that I could invite the whole town for a bbq! Our town is small so it would work great! I think I would even have the fire department there to hose down the kids and keep them cool, or fill a pool for swimming. What a fabulous giveaway!

Unfortunately, we haven’t grilled out this summer yet. Our gas grill died…RIP. We have not bought a new one. I think one of those old time Webbers that you use charcoal or hickory brickettes are much more loyal and reliable.
I agree that the Hebrew National franks are the best for nutritional value…if there is such a thing from a hot dog. We don’t eat them often but they certainly make cookouts economic and fun for the kids.
Just getting everyone together for a night is difficult in my family as I have teens and then there is my one-year-old. It’s an entertaining mix! Everyone have a great summer filled with fun, family…and, yes, franks!

Not only would that buy us a lot of tasty Hebrew National hot dogs for our 4th of July bash, we could alao buy a lot of FIREWORKS for our annual display (we live in rural NH, it’s legal). Every Wednesday for the past 10+years has been Hot Dog night for us.We usually buy the beef hot dogs that are on sale that week. I am always happy when it is Hebrew National because thet are the best and they have to listen to a HIGHER AUTHORITY.

About every other summer we have a block party where everyone from our street gathers together for one big picnic. Since it is summertime, our idea of a “Picnic with a Purpose” would have a theme centered around skin cancer awareness, prevention and cures.

The last three July 4’s I’ve been out of town. I either went on a mini vacation or was away for work. This 4th is special to me because I will be home, and able to celebrate it with my 4 year old grandson and 9 month old grand daughter. I’m also celebrating 2 months with a new man in my life, and having a family/friends cook out at my house. I have not cooked for anyone besides my daughter and grandson in so long, it’s like I forgot how! Thank you so much for the dream of making this 4th of July the best one ever!

Last year for Independence Day, our friends visited with their 2 boys. We had a BBQ, splashed in the apartment’s outdoor pool, and then we walked to the local park to view a spectacular fireworks display.
This year, we’d love a repeat. Our boys had so much fun…and nothing’s more kid-friendly for a summer cookout than Heb Hounds! That’s what my hubby and his fam called them when he was growing up.
FYI, we just got back from a camping trip…and we devoured our hot dogs…they’re the BEST!

Oh my goodness! I absolutely LOVE the 4th of July weekend Barbeque! I consider it the first ‘real’ start of summer celebration! I will be at the campground which is absolutely packed on that weekend, grilling it up and enjoying spending time with family and friends! Every member of the family usually brings ‘their favorites’..chicken…corn on the cob…hot dogs…etc! It is all grilled to perfection and the potato salad and macaroni salads are amazing!

July 4th is my birthday. We’re invited to a neighbor’s house to celebrate not only my birthday but another friends whose birthday is also July 4th. Our host’s birthday is July 2 and my brother’s is July 9th! With this $1000 we could all celebrate in real style!

We live in a small town in Oregon. On the 4th of July our town growns from 4000 to 8000 people due to the big parade and the 4th of July rodeo. It is called the Buccaroo. You can’t live here and not get excited about the 4th. I would love to have $1000 to host a huge Bar-b-que here before we move to Illinois. We have lived here our whole lives and are moving to be with our grand kids.

We have been hosting a huge BBQ for Homeless Families living with AIDS for about 12 years now. We take some small donations from some of the people at my Church and we have them cook the sides and desserts. We usually have 100-120 people show up. We are a little worried this year because donations are down because of the economy and homelessness is up because of the economy. A $1000 would buy a lot of Hebrew National Franks, Not worring about how we are going to pull this off this year would be a dream 4th of July.

Yes, I would love to win this I can invite all of my family and husband family usually is unable to do that because his family is so big didn’t have enough money to make sure everyone eats. I have a big yard and I can picture the kids playing in the pool, bouncies or even volleyball with the adults. We love cooking out and having our peeps(family and friends)over especially for the 4th of July (Happy Birthday America) and since our baby boy was born on July 5th (yikes,34 yrs ago this 7-5) it makes for a several days of celebrating for us.

My family will be traveling to Ohio to see relatives who are also out of state. We haven’t seen the extended family together in quite some time. We’d love to have a Picnic with a Purpose for the Toledo YWCA’s Battered Women’s Shelter. The city has just started a cell phone return program to provide cell phones to victims of domestic violence, and I know we can get the whole bunch to clean out their drawers and gather up some unused older cell phones. We live in a huge neighborhood. The one that all of the kids come to for Halloween. This gift card would make us the most popular family on the cul de sac. We are relatively new to the neighborhood this would DEFinITELY introduce us to everyone with a BANG.

We are thinking of going out to Salt Lake City for the Fourth of July to visit my husbands family. They miss the grandkids and thought that would be fun! We’ll be hosting a 4th of July cookout/packing party. Our friends will show up to help us pack up the old house and get ready to move to the new one.
