Of the 2500 bloggers at BlogHer 2010 in New York City, the one who I most wanted to interview was Anissa Mayhew!
And we were so blessed to catch a few minutes on camera with Anissa and her husband Peter.
Janice and I have always been huge Anissa fans… we’ve laughed along with her on Twitter and she was a fantastic contributor and helped behind the scenes at 5 Minutes for Special Needs.
Many of you may know Anissa’s story and have been inspired by her and her family. They are an amazing example of how to laugh and pull together through difficult times.
Both Anissa and Peter are so funny and we loved talking to them and listening to them make everyone laugh during their BlogHer panel.

Highlight of BlogHer was hugging Anissa!

My one aim at BlogHer 10 was to get to chat to Anissa again, when I did I felt like if I did nothing more at BlogHer I would be fine. I have always loved Anissa since I started blogging and she will always have a special place in my heart.
That’s exactly how I felt!

That’s great that you’ve been able to connect with Anissa locally. BlogHer was such madness and everyone wanting to talk to her. I can’t imagine how exhausting it must have been for her.
I found the reasons people have always loved Niss was due to “her”, not just her background, not just her amazing bewbs, and not just her writing. There is a power she emits and always have, that is something a stroke can not take away. She is rocky, but with a higher IQ, better sense of humor, bigger bewbs and flatter butt. As always she is astounding and brilliant.
Exactly. She is such a powerful woman in all the good ways.
