Ha! Last time I flew I drove myself crazy purchasing a seat for my 2 year old and buying a sit n stroll (and nearly going broke after both purchases) only to be told on the plane that the sit n stroll is an evacuation hazard so I cannot use it and my son insisted on sitting on my lap the whole flight because he felt lost in the big seat. It was really unsafe (and uncomfortable) and I would love to win it. Now he is 5 and I always chose the safest car seats and boosters for the car why risk his safety on a plane?

We have one of these they are awesome!! Make sure to print out the documents about using them on airplanes. This September was the first time we were asked about it and I was very glad to have it! We have used ours at least a dozen times and never were asked before this past time.

I think this is one of the best products I’ve ever seen for travel. I learned of it just before our last plane trip and almost rented one but was too short of time. We have far flung grandparents so our future is sure to hold more plane trips and this would be so helpful.

Where were these when I was 8 months pregnant, flying to Europe with a 3 year old?! I wouldn’t want to win, because lugging a stroller and carseat +luggage through an airport is SO MUCH FUN! lol Obviously that is sarcasm! These are going to really revolutionize how parents who have to travel a lot feel about air travel.

I’ve heard of these but never knew where to find one. If things go as planned, my two year old will be flying alone with my 18 year-old sister-in-law and this would make her life a lot easier for keeping him in his seat, not to mention my peace of mind.

Considering I fly with a boy who, the last time I flew alone, managed to do everything humanly possible to get away from me while I was carrying his airline approved carseat AND all our carry on luggage, this would be a wonderful device! I have lugged his carseat all over and every time I know somewhere along the way I will not have enough hands! We will be traveling to Hawaii during the holidays due to being re-located for the military and having one less cumbersome item to worry about would be a relief to our family!

We are traveling at Christmas. This would be a wonderful thing to have! We fly with our boys a few times a year to visit family. Having the CARES harness would make the flight a lot easier.
We have one of these. It’s absolutely fabulous. We’ve used it numerous times with Zoe since we travel from NJ to FL multiple times each year to visit my parents. Zoe’s picture is actually on their website… and they also linked to a blog post I did on our vacation and using the CARES belt. Great product!!!

If the airlines authorize the use of this restraint, I think it’s one of the best inventions ever! I remember being incensed traveling with my baby and being told I couldn’t keep him in the sling during take-off. They told me I had to take him out and just hold him in my arms because if there was a problem, the force of him against me in the sling could injure me. That just didn’t make sense to me though when they insisted that my PURSE be “safely” lodged under the seat so as not to be a projectile, but they were insisting that my baby sit loosely in my lap. How much more damage would be caused (both to and by my child) if the force of turbulence or something were to wrest him from my arms?!
And not all car seats are airline approved, so that wasn’t a solution either. I think it’s great to have an alternative to just a lap belt in a plane (or a bus or anywhere else only lap belts are standard).
