I think the phrase, “it is better to give than to receive” rings the most true when you have the chance to give a toy to a child in need at Christmas time.
Thanks to the Treats For Toys charitable campaign by Kellogg Canada and The Salvation Army, Canadians had a chance again this year to donate a toy to a child in need by simply making and photographing a toy-shaped Rice Krispies treat.
It was a huge success for the 4th year in a row.
We were honored to help promote this fantastic charitable campaign again. It’s become a tradition for
our girls to make toy-shaped treats to help promote the #TreatsForToys campaign.
For every photo uploaded before December 21, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies donated $20 to The Salvation Army for the purchase of an actual toy for a child in need.
I love to think how many children will receive a brand new toy thanks to #TreatsForToys.
We want to sincerely thank all of you who helped spread the word about Treats for Toys and who took the time to make and share online a toy-shaped Rice Krispies treat.
The Treats For Toys campaign has ended, but remember that you can still help children in need this Christmas. Please take a moment to donate to a trusted charity such as The Salvation Army.
Toys are so wonderful this time of year, but also winter coats and other donations are desperately needed.
We hope you have a happy holiday with your family and that you are blessed with opportunities to give this Christmas.
