Oh my gosh, Janice! He looks so grown up there! That really is a great shot. I have one JUST like it with my oldest daughter. She was being SO difficult several years ago, and then she glared at me and I caught the best picture ever. It looks like she’s trying to be sexy, but she’s really just thinking, “Hey, Mom, will you lay off!!” lol

Oh, my! He is so handsome! Nope, no pre-teens in our home yet. A preschooler and a 6yo.
I love that he wanted a tie. That plus the angst, make it perfect.
No preteens over in my home – yet. And I’m sooo grateful for it! 😉
No tweens here! My oldest is 6 and I am SO not ready for that yet…. although I don’t know if I ever will be!

Ah tween angst. He looks gorgeous anyways and will be a heartbreaker. I live your picture. My dd 10 has been a three headed monster for about four months now. I wrote about it a lot this week.

I think that’s a great shot! My oldest will be 10 in 10 days. He’s already exhibiting the same behavior. So cool to watch the grow up, but so bittersweet.
Do I ever! My eldest is 12. He turns on a dime from the Loveliest Boy in The World, full of “I love you Mom”s to vile, deranged and impossible.
Help us through this phase, please!

I do believe that my oldest is starting to feel this way. He does not want to get in photos as much and definitely shows his thoughts.
