We Love Oprah… Don’t You?

I almost never watch daytime TV… I just never seem to have the chance. But even if I rarely get a chance to watch her show, I will always be a big Oprah fan.

She’s an amazing woman who has accomplished great things.

And so when Tim from RevolutionHealth.com told us that they’re giving away tickets to the O You! conference in Miami, I knew I had to let you all know.

They’re giving the lucky winner two tickets to the conference and up to $1000 for travel expenses. And they’re doing this 5 times!

Entering is easy… and you’re allowed to enter once each day.

There are several reasons why we love Oprah, including her ability to build an empire while still making an attempt to help others. She is a force to be reckoned with in her journalistic, producing, acting, and humanitarian endeavors. I remember when I sent a present to my Mom from she asked for a large photo of Oprah, and she was so astonished when she received it!

Btw, I don’t mean to cause conflict here. My reponse was based on the title of this article.

You are not alone, Cassandra. I don’t say this with judgement of others because I’m sure I too am fond of someone that others probably don’t care for. But I’m not fond of Oprah at all. For me, it’s a matter of conflicting beliefs in terms of what she professes and what she then compromises on.

That being said, God can and does use broken vessels all the time. I try to remember that when I think of her. While I don’t and won’t watch her show, I do believe she has brought necessary light to some very worthy causes.

I feel very much in the minority, but I do not love Oprah… Not even a tiny bit… I truly cannot see the attraction to this woman at all… What exactly has she done for anyone?… Please, don’t say the school because HER prejudice towards boys is as bad as ANY prejudice/racial behavior I’ve seen to date… Her status and power put her so out of reach with the average person that I cannot take anything she says and use it in my life… Sorry, I realize this won’t go over well, but that’s how I feel about the situation…
