Yes – you read that correctly – the prize is $1,000, awarded via an American Express gift card, to spend however you want – go shopping, take a trip, do whatever you want! It is all yours. Now, that is one fabulous Mother’s Day gift!!!
Before we get into the details of how you can win all that cash, can I just gush a bit about Egg Beaters newest variety and why I am so excited about it (besides the fact that they are giving one of you a thousand bucks!)
My husband loves eggs -and I mean – he.really.loves.eggs. He eats them almost every day, no matter how often I try to tell him that I think he going a little overboard in the cholesterol dept.

To make this contest as special as the prize, we decided to make it a Mother’s Day Photo Contest. As you may have noticed, I love photography. So I thought it would be perfect for 5 Minutes for Mom to hold a photo contest. Not only will I be thrilled to get a chance to see all of your motherhood-inspired photos, but you all can get in on the fun and go see some of the other photo entries yourself.
This is how it will work:
For the next week, we will accept entries. We are looking for photos that tell some sort of story of what motherhood means to you. They could be shots of you with your kids, your kids, you own mother, whatever you want.
Here is a shot that is “Motherhood” to me. This is my Mom, Joan, when she was little. My mom is my hero. She loves and lives sacrificially for her children and grandchildren. I am the mother I am because of who she is.
I love looking at photos of my mother and grandmother. We mothers were all once babies ourselves, vulnerable and needing to be mothered and loved. I also love that Susan and my kids, especially Susan’s daughter Julia, bear a lot of resemblance to “little Joan.”
If you are a blogger, post your photo on your site and then come back here and add your link to the Mr. Linky. (In your post on your blog, you can explain that it is a part of this contest, link back here and, if you want, tell us a bit about your motherhood-inspired picture. Explaining your photo is totally optional. If it adds to it, write about it. If you would rather let the picture do all the talking, that is great too.)
If you are not a blogger – you can still play!!! Just email us your photo, with the subject line Photo Contest, to 5minutesformom @ gmail dot com. (Please add your image into the copy of the email so that we do not have to open attachments.)
If you are selected as a finalist, feel free to announce it on your blog, facebook, twitter, etc and get your friends to vote for you. That is fair game.
Voting will close May 9th at 9:00pm EST. We will announce the winner on Mothers Day May 11th.

I would LOVE this prize. You can’t even begin to imagine what this would do for my family right now. Mother’s Day is going to be a day of celebration and sorrow all in one. My grandmother will most likely not live threw the week. I am meet with a surgeon on Wed. and I can only hope and pray that we can/do rule out breast cancer. This 33 yr old mommy is not ready to face this trial. My world has been rocked to its core in the last few hours.
So…when I came across this I couldn’t help but think…what a blessing in our life when things are such a trial.

what a great idea for a contest! and what a great way to start celebrating motherhood!
I entered this photo, not because it is professional quality, or because it has perfect composition, but becasue it captues the moment when my son was first handed to me. The guy behind the camera, of course, was the doting daddy. The haiku that accompanies it was written on the pseudo-anniversary (Easter Eve, so the date is not exact) of going into labor.

I almost for got to post my picture
I had taken this photo while we were camping at the lake. I had learned some new tricks about photography, and decided to try them out. I LOVE how the photos turned out, and I have even framed this one and another one, and hung them in our living room!

There is a problem with your button code/ I have put into my blogger account four times and it will not allow me to have a picture it is just the word mother in quotations as a link and it does it both on the sidebar and in a blog post. Hey Moms … We had our fifth child back last year, and I was looking for flexible ways to make some extra money while she stayed home with kids. As we turned to the internet, and started researching different ideas, she continually ran into scam and spam at every turn. As I became more involved, we realized there were money making opportunities, they just need to be uncovered and understood. While much of this has been trial and error, we started to discover what was successful and what wasn’t. At this point, it was time to document some ideas and successes, and hopefully get some feedback and suggestion from other entrepreneurs. Of course, part of this blog in itself is not only to share ideas, but hopefully gather a viewer and referral base, to have more opportunities for everyone to be successful.

I’m hoping this will put my “motherhood” picture online. Trying to potty train 4 toddlers at one time can be party time, potty time or hair pulling time.
5 minutes for mom would be something like a vacation for my daughter who has 2 1/2 year old quadruplets (2 boys/2 girls) AND an older son who is 3 1/2. What represents motherhood to me is to have little grandchildren to help with. We are trying to potty train the quads and my picture shows how we’re doing on that project.

Through this site you first choose a charity group you would like to support then you “shop the mall” (tons of your favorite stores). A percent of your sale goes straight to nonprofit you chose. I can’t believe I will be celebrating my first Mother’s Day as a mom this year! I love my baby girl so much it makes me realize the love my mom feels for me and her mom as well. My picture reminds me of the circle of life. Our lives continue with each generation.
