I’m going to Orlando to bring you closer to Italy.

If you follow my twitter profile @5minutesformom, you know that I am planning a tweet up in Orlando on Friday night, March 20th. (hashtag #orlando)

But the question has remained, “WHY Orlando?” It is very far from home to be planning a tweet up!

Well, the reason I am going to Orlando is because of an exciting project we are working on with Olive Garden — and it is launching today!

We are joining Olive Garden to bring the passion of Italian cooking to you.

For the next four weeks, we’re speaking Italian [cooking]…

  1. Chef Marie GrimmOn our new interactive Olive Garden page here at 5 Minutes for Mom, you’ll get a sneak peek into Olive Garden’s kitchen and the source of the restaurant’s culinary inspiration – Italy!

We’re going to share Italian cooking techniques that Olive Garden chefs use in their restaurants every day, and that you can apply at home for your family.

On Tuesday, I’ll be flying to Orlando for an exciting Satellite Media Tour with Olive Garden’s Chef Marie Grimm.

You can catch me on TV with Chef Marie this Friday morning, March 20, on the fifteen different stations. Visit our Olive Garden dedicated page for a list of the stations.

You’ll also find fun polls and quizzes to test your Italian culinary know-how — with great prizes!

Check back each week for a new lesson!

  2. Tuscan Garlic ChickenSince you deserve a night out, we have five giveaways for $100 Olive Garden Gift Cards.

Each week, visit our interactive Olive Garden page to enter to win your dinner gift card.

You can enter to win by answering poll questions, quiz questions and commenting on our dedicated Olive Garden page.

  3. And while we all enjoy dinner at a restaurant, eventually we do need to cook for ourselves. LOL

So, you can learn how to bring out the “Italian mother” in you on YouTube. The Olive Garden has an entire channel devoted to cooking demonstrations.

You can learn how to cook their delicious authentic Italian meals in your own kitchen!

Join us at our Interactive Olive Garden page. We’ll be over there soaking up the flavor of Italy.

But first tell me, what do you want me to ask Chef Marie Grimm? What cooking secrets do you want to know?
