Have you and your kids tried geocaching? We’re excited to share with you an easy and extra fun way to embark on your first family geocaching treasure hunt and how you can get your children’s school involved thanks to Envirokidz and their new free Ecokeepers™ program.
Envirokidz is more than a delicious and healthy line of food for kids. It’s a brand with a mission to both feed children delicious organic food and to feed positive change in young minds. We’re honored to be working with them to spread this message.
Their new Ecokeepers™ program is about getting kids outside and discovering the world around them to develop a life-long relationship with nature.
In our busy modern lives, most kids are not spending enough time playing outside.
Yet, studies show that kids who spend time outdoors are:
- happier and less stressed
- see a boost in classroom performance
- have enhanced problem-solving skills and imagination
- are leaner
- can experience a reduction in ADHD symptoms, and
- better understand the need to nurture nature and how animals, plants and people are tightly connected
As parents, most of us can use some extra help inspiring and encouraging our kids to spend more time outdoors.
So I’m thrilled about this new ecokeepers program.
EnviroKidz Ecokeepers™
The EnviroKidz Ecokeepers™ program is free for camps and schools and provides tools and supplies to coordinate an educational geocaching activity for a group of children.
This interactive explorer activity harnesses kids’ natural curiosity and sense of discovery.

The Ecokeepers™ program blends the modern day, GPS enabled treasure hunt of geocaching with the traditional explorer guidebook to document notes and pictures.

Ecokeepers Discovery Day at Stanley Park
For all our local friends here in Vancouver, BC, you’re invited to the EnviroKidz ecokeepersâ„¢ Geocaching Treasure Hunt in Stanley Park this Saturday, Sept 17th.
Bring your kids to enjoy a fun fill day and find hidden geocaches for a chance to win great prizes.
If you’re one of the first 50 participants, you will receive a swag bag filled with EnviroKidz goodies, a trackable ladybug for geocaching and Whole Foods gift card (valued at $50).
All participants will be entered into a draw to win the grand prize: $250 Whole Foods gift card and Nature’s Path gift basket.

We recently just got our first geocache coin by geocaching in Kootenay National Park while on our summer vacation. This looks fabulous!
This looks like something fun and definitely something I would love to try with my kiddo!
I totally agree with the studies that show kids who spend time outdoors are are happier – just look at your daughter’s smile. Being outside makes us all happier!
I’ve always wanted to try this! I think S would love it!
