This video honestly makes me cry.
I have an 8 year old daughter myself and I can’t even begin to imagine what life would be like if she or her 10 year old sister were going through what Iyana is.
It’s hard to comprehend how a little girl can be so strong, but it’s clear that her fabulous family has something to do with it.
I love how Iyana says, “Sometimes I try not to smile, but I can’t stop.”
But it’s clear how tough she has to be… as she says, “My Dad likes the way I was fighting like a superhero.”
The Banks family is a true example of staying positive and focusing on what’s really important in life.
I hope I can remember their reminder to be thankful for each moment I have with my family and that “every second counts”. The real gift of the holidays is spending time with our loved ones.
I’m so happy that T.J.Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods choose to celebrate this family and give them something extra to enjoy this holiday season.
