Maybe you could make them with arms. And have the palms with velcrow so they can have their arms around them.and put a voice recorder say goodnight or something like that.
I would like to get a daddy doll for our daughter. When her daddy leaves for duty she has a hard time adjusting. I think this daddy doll would be a perfect idea for her and might help the seperation issues when he is away on NAVY duties and overseas

These ‘Daddy Dolls’ are a great idea, but I do have a question…WHY do so many people in this country seem to forget that we have thousands of FEMALE Military deployed in the war too? Our daughter just returned from her second tour of Irag & will more than likely be going back again next year, this last time in Iraq she was out on convoy 6 to 7 days a week each & every week. So come on, lets all try to remember our FEMALE Soldiers too!

I actually have one of these from when they first began, at the time my hubby had went to Iraq and I wanted to make sure my little girl got to see her daddy and cuddle with him every day. She still sleeps with that doll and she’s 4 now.
I wish I had had these for my kids during Bosnia/Kosovo and early Afghanistan. Luckily they are older now. I might see if the company will make cousin dolls of my kids for their baby cousin.
Oh, I should make a “husband-doll” but I’d be embarrassed when he came home and found the doll covered in lip gloss and mascara-tear stains. 😉 So I think the Daddy Doll idea is a better idea.

Yes, I agree it does make me want to cry too. I was almost in tears as I looked through the photo gallery on their website. It is so hard to imagine all those little kids missing their daddies. But I’m so glad that they have their Daddy Dolls.

What a great idea. Would also be good for kids who have separation problems and need some extra security while away from mom for an extended period.
