Not sure what to call this one…
Okay – my day didn’t really happen today – literally. When Jackson woke me up at 7:30am, I felt terrible. In fact I was sure I had the stomach flu. After lying in bed for five minutes trying to convince myself that I was NOT going to throw up, I gave in and ran to the bathroom. But after about ten minutes, the nausea subsided a bit. I crawled back in bed and phoned Susan. Now can I just say HOW grateful I am to have my twin two blocks away! I usually babysit Julia in the mornings, but today I begged her to take Jackson instead. So I dragged myself out of bed, got Jackson fed and dressed in his hockey gear and dropped him off at Susan’s. Then after writing a quick post to let you all know of the exciting changes over at Faith Lifts, I retreated to my bed. And I slept. For SIX hours. Yes – I woke up at 5pm! (My kind husband picked up Jackson after preschool and looked after him all afternoon. I am surprised he didn’t come wake me up to check if I had died.) When I finally woke up, I was still so tired I could have rolled over and gone back to sleep. But good grief – it was 5 pm! You have to understand – I never nap that long! Ever. It is crazy and bizarre. Now – I know that every single one of you is saying, “Girl, you are pregnant!” But trust me – I am not. (I have given up hope.) Besides my period is due in a few days, so it would be unlikely that I felt this bad this soon. Plus, I just know I am not. When I am pregnant, I know it by now – sore, swollen breasts, etc. Trust me – if I were pregnant – which I refuse to even let a glimmer of hope sneak through it is just too painful every month when I get the bad news – I would be freaking out excited. And yes – if that wonderful thing every happens again, I will let you all know immediately. But this time – I know I am not. I think I am just run down and my body is reminding me that I am still a sick person. (For those of you who might not know, I have long term health problems. You can also read about my health struggles in my guest column this week at Christian Women Online. Anyhow, so where does this all leave me for my tackle? Well, I still feel pretty shaky and unwell, not quite up to tackling anything that requires me getting off my chair. So I will be continuing to tackle my blog visiting. I am always so behind on visiting all of you wonderful people who comment on our site. (It usually takes me all weekend to finish visiting all the Wordless Wednesday commentors.) This weekend I visited all the bloggers who commented on my WW. (I visit from my comments not from the Mr. Linky, since some people who comment aren’t actually playing WW. So if you want me to drop by your place, make sure you leave a quick comment.) And I worked about halfway through the list of bloggers who commented on The Ultimate Blog Party post. (If you are wondering why it takes me so long to visit these sites, when I finally get out to a blog, I like to spend a bit of time, reading and commenting on various posts.) As for Susan, she is tackling getting all the prize hosts listed on the prize page. Due to the fact that I didn’t babysit for her today and her husband worked most of the weekend, she is scrambling to find computer time. But tonight she will be tackling the rest of the prize listings. And as usual, she is always working to get listings up in our Featured Sites sections. If you are still waiting for yours to get up, we apologize for the delay. She is working as fast as motherhood allows. 😉 So – what are you tackling? Remember your tackle can either be completed earlier in the week and you just show off on Tuesday, or you can tackle on Tuesday. I will be over just as soon as I can to see all of your brilliant tackles! Update: Okay – plans slightly changed. Susan is so behind on answering emails etc., that she asked me to work on the prize page. So tonight after Jackson went to bed, that is what I did. I am not very fast with the HTML yet, so it took me quite awhile to get it done (and I still have some more to do) but go check out my work. I am so proud of myself – I usually have Susan do those kinds of things. (By the way, we are still accepting prize hosts – it is not too late if you want to jump in.) But since I was busy with the prize page, that means that I didn’t get my blog visiting done yet. So now I will be tackling the blog visiting tomorrow (well today really since it is now after 2am.) Oh and I am feeling MUCH better – I guess a six hour nap can really help a body! So no worries. I think I was just really over-tired. Now I better get to bed or else tomorrow I will be in bad shape again. See you soon!

I went back and read your post about hope. I just wanted to let you know, I know EXACTLY how you feel. People who don’t suffer from infertility don’t understand it, can’t understand it. They mean well, but it’s SO impossible to not have hope each and every month. People try to help by comforting you, but often their mis-understanding makes it so much worse. It’s especially hard when it’s a 2nd child and people say “at least you have one, so many people don’t have any children”. As much as you know that’s true and you feel sufficiently guilty after you hear it, it doesn’t stop you from hoping. One day I intend to write about my experiences, I haven’t yet, but your post gave me real motivation to write it out my self. I just wanted to let you know you’re not alone, and I know EXACTLY how you feel.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. No tackle for me today. I am sick….not stomach flu thank goodness. I just have a nasty respitory virus….extremely sore throat, earache, headache, fever, etc.
I have lots that need to be tackled so I will be back next week.

I sure hope you get to feeling better. It is just too much when Mama is sick. My husband always tells me if I am sick “Didn’t you get the memo? You aren’t allowed to be sick!”
