It’s almost time to send our kids back to school!

I always have such mixed feelings about this time of year. I love to see my girls get excited for back to school shopping and getting organized for the new school year. But I hate to say goodbye to summer.

Also, I tend to feel a little sad seeing my girls get older and move on to the next grade of school.

I can’t believe my oldest Julia is going into grade 5 and my little Sophia will be starting grade 3.

My babies are seriously growing up too fast.

But even more shocking is that my twin sister Janice’s oldest boy is starting HIGH SCHOOL. Yikes. He’s going to have a locker for the first time!!!

Starting to use a locker at school is such a milestone.

  8. My boys are starting 7th grade, 11th grade, and I have a freshman in college. The younger ones play all kinds of sports. Things get stolen from the locker room all the time, so they HAVE to have locks on their lockers.

  67. My lil angel is hitting the big school this year, he’s starting first grade!! He grew up way too fast, I barely had time to blink!

  82. My son has been out of school for two years. Right now, he is working full time at a candy/ice cream shop. He recently was promoted in making all the fudge and caramel. 🙂

    I have niece that will enter charter shool as a first grader and hope to succeed this great year that is yet to be untold to us all parent,relative or child with new and uncertain experiences.

    Hope the best for all parent in mind, body, and spirit in being their best seleves.

  162. My daughter and I work in a private school specializing in working with students with special needs. She is in the secondary pod, I see all the kiddos in PT.

  196. My oldest is out of regular school and is now trying to navigate the school of hard knocks. My next oldest will be a senior in HS. My youngest will be in third grade.

  277. I don’t have kids of my own.. well, I do but they are adults. I have 14 grandkids and their grades are entering 7th grade all the way down to one beginning pre-school this year. And one still in diapers.

  324. All of my 7 kids are in school! We have 3 college sophmores, 1 freshman in high school, 1 – 6th grader in middle school, 1 – 3rd grader and 1- second grader!
