What type of tea do you drink?

I’d never been a tea person. When offered a cup of tea, I’d usually decline, saying, “No thanks, I’m fine with water.”

But last summer, while getting a pedicure before Blog Her, I tasted a raspberry green tea and I was instantly hooked.

I couldn’t leave the place without buying some! (Sure, the first one’s free… right?)

So, the trouble? The price tag. Yes this luxury spa sells it for over $50 per bottle. (A bottle makes over 60 servings though.) Although I just looked it up online — it’s called Pure Inventions — and it looks like I can get it for about $25.

I’m loving this raspberry green tea. I drink it cold throughout the day and I think it is going to be great for helping me to lose my holiday weight.

One of the things I love about the Pure Inventions tea is that I don’t have to ‘brew’ it. I just add a few drops to my water. So quick.

But now I’m on a new tea kick… and I’m looking for suggestions. After my yoga class last week, my instructor gave us a cup of Tetley’s Red Tea, and I loved it.

So, I’m thinking there must be a million other fabulous brands of green tea and other healthy teas that I should try.

Can you help me out? What types and brands of tea do you drink?

as a coffee drinker since i was 5, i’m working on switching over to tea.. it’s been a hard switch, but i found the yu-wi tea is great for it, it fills my coffee fix.. with a bit of stevia (and I’m not a sugar taker in my coffee), peppermint tea, and bangal tea are all favorites of mine!

Hi, Can’t remember how I got here but had to comment. I drink proper tea! You Americans are killing me. I was in my kids’ school cafeteria this morning and they have 8 different types of tea; as many flavors as you could want – if you were looking for juice. How about some nice, dark proper tea??? I can’t deal with this hot juice!!

You’re so funny! Welcome to the club. I am a hotdrinkaholic. I drink all kinds of teas, but I don’t know if I have a favorite brand. As far as green tea, right now I have a mint one and a regular one. One is from Celestial Seasonings and the other is from Lipton. Both are quite tasty. I’m also a fan of black decaf tea.

I like Tazo teas and Stash teas. I try to look for teas that are organic and fair trade.

I slowed down on the tea drinking for a while, but my husband is insisting the thermostat be turned down lower, so I find myself looking for decaf teas in the evening that will warm me up.

I’m drinking a cup right now! I haven been feeling well & tea is just the thing.

    My favorites are
YOGI TEA – Classic India Spice
    TWININGS – Indian Spiced Chai
TETLEY – original, with sugar and milk
I actually prepare all spiced teas as I would a coffee.

Then for medicinal tyes of teas, my Favs are -
TRADITIONAL MEDICINALS – throat coat & Breathe easy (the breathe easy really works & for kids)
CELESTIAL SEASONINGS – Wellness tea & I love their sleepytime tea too :) )
I prepare those types with raw honey & lemon

Back to my cup of throat coat :) ))

Twinings’ Earl Grey and this really spledid black tea I found at Teaopia called Carmelissimo…it’s sooo good! http://www.teaopia.ca/
I also like making a big jug of green tea with agave nectar and a big squeeze of lime juice and putting it in the fridge.

Tea does have a long list of health benefits. I wished I liked it more.

I mostly just stick to water and fruit juice. If it’s really cold outside, I opt for apple cider or a white tea.

I enjoy bulk loose leaf Jasmine. If you go to an import “cost plus” type store it is in a tin that has Asian font on it.
We live in the same city it looks like. I am in the east valley

My husband likes Rooibos tea, and I do too. It can be hard to find, but it’s sweet and spicy and herbal and yummy. It’s one of the few teas I don’t sweeten before drinking.

Myself, I’m a tea-instead-of-coffee girl. I drink black tea with sugar and milk. Earl Grey is my favorite, but I like other kinds as well.

I love drinking hot tea especially when it is cold. I have been drinking green tea by Traditional Medicinals, which I love. I checked out Pure Inventions, what great products, but I was bummed to see that there is no caffeine. I do like the little kick that I get from my green tea :) Traditional Medicinals has lots of choices. I love Lemon Echinacea and Throat Coat. :)

Oh I love love love tea. My dream is to open up a tea room with my mom. I go to a store in the mall called Teavana and they let you try all sorts of loose tea. Loose tea is definitely the way to go. If you like bagged tea, the Celestial Chamomile is so relaxing, and there’s one called Sleepytime that’s Chamomile and Mint. Very relaxing and refreshing at night (especially after a bath). Those are in the supermarket. For caffeine, Starbucks’ Tazo Brand “Awake” is really really yummy for a bagged tea and works very well for a pick me up. Love it!

I live by Celestial Seasonings. They have some wonderful tea flavors. Sleepytime, Peppermint, Wild Berry Zinger, Chamomile. Another great one I’m just trying for the first time is by Lipton. White Tea with Island Mango & Peach flavor. Yum!

Like lots of others, I’m a huge fan of The Republic of Tea. I’ve tried lots of their flavours but my favourite is Ginger Peach (and I’m really not a fruity flavour tea person).
I also love a cup of pure peppermint tea to relax plus it aids in digestion and helps if your stomach needs soothed.

Earl Grey or English breakfast tea with a dollap of honey and a tsp. of milk is divine….I am not a tea person either but love this when I make the time to prepare it! Of course it needs to be a chilly day or evening…not like this lousy HOT and WINDY and DRY California weather we are having now!

My favorites are Bigelow Fruit n’ Almond or Mint Medley. But what really trips my trigger and eases all the rough edges of my day is a home-made chai latte. Here’s the recipe:

In an x-lg mug, heat milk until JUST about to boil. Dunk two Stash Black Chai Spice (I prefer de-caf at night by the fire) until preferred strength. Add desired amount of sugar or sweetener. Sit back with a cozy blanket and enjoy. It’s an experience and a healthy drink all at once. If you really really need the “froth” then whisk the milk when hot after tea has steeped.

    Mmmmmmmm!

I love pear tea. I can’t remember who makes it because I swiped about ten tea bags from my mom and left the carton with her. Good thing she loves me! I do know she got it from Fishers. I don’t know if it’s a national chain or just local to us Ohioans. I do know I have not been able to find it at Wal-Mart. Hope that helps.

I love Yogi Tea. It has so many different flavors like Nursing Mother’s tea which I drank to increase my supply in the early days of breastfeeding. Their teas are grouped in categories like Spirit Teas, Mind Teas, Body Teas and Green Teas. They are very good. I requested a free sample and they sent me 3 different teas. Here is the link so you can try it for yourself

My husband and I are normally really hardcore coffee drinkers, and have been making a diligent effort to try to cut back and switch to different drinks. Tea has been our number one focus since it’s another hot drink and therefore, and easy substitution!

We’ve both been drinking a lot of green tea. My favorites lately are green tea with pomegranate, peach apricot honey blush, and vanilla caramel.

It’s fun to experiment with new flavors!
