Yesterday, on an outing to Pike Place during the #win8officevisit blogger event with Office and Windows 8 at Microsoft, we took a quick detour to visit Seattle’s Market Theater Gum Wall, a brick alleyway wall covered in used chewing gum. Pretty darn gross and yet beautiful.
What do you think? Does its colorfulness make up for the ick factor?
Please note: We are Windows Champion Ambassadors. Microsoft covered our expenses for the Windows 8 and Office event. We were not required to post about Microsoft or our experiences. All opinions are always our own.
What is Your Weekly Photo?
Mom Bloggers (and Dad Bloggers too!) post a photo on your site, link up and find others… Wordless Wednesday is tons of fun. (And I know it says “wordless†but I usually just can’t bear to not write anything! If I had created it, I probably would have named it something different! LOL So feel to link up your word-full or word-less Wednesday photos!)
Leave the URL to your photo (clearly mine are never truly “wordlessâ€) and then visit others!

Great photos. I had never heard of the Gum wall. Fascinating…and just a little gross 🙂
Very interesting to see but definitely not something I’d want to touch!
Very gross….. but I would go take a look and take some pictures of this wall to show my readers if I do visit Seattle. 😛
Nice pictures and it sounds like a fun blogger event you attended thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful week and if you have time come and link up at my WW Linky http://mommiespov.com/wordless-wednesday-family/
Definitely cool and gross at the same time.
Wow. I never knew there was a wall of chewed up gum in Seattle. Thinking of all that spit makes me grossed out, but it is very colorful and interesting to look at! What a quandry!
my wordless wednesday 🙂

my computer is having technical problems. linking up 🙂
It is an interesting idea, but the ICK factor is pretty high for me. YUCK!
Fascinating (from a distance). Otherwise *mom cleanliness issues shudders*
It reminds me of something not so ick. In neighborhood I know of there is a tree that children go to to give up their pacifiers hang theirs up.I haven’t seen it but, I heard it is adorable and the kids can go visit their “pacies” and kind of morn their loss. A collection but not a yucky one.
While I support art and I admit it is colorful, it’s still has a icky factor. LOL
Up close, that’s disgusting. But it is kinda pretty from afar.
Dude, that’s just gross. It makes for great photos and a travel story, but I have been to the one in San Luis Obispo in CA, and I thought it was gross. All those people’s spit, stuck on a wall? No thank you.
I’ve been to Seattle but not the gum wall. Hmmmm….colorful gross? 😉
I guess most of it would have dried out and not be so icky really. Kind of like cement. Better than having it on the sidewalk to be stepped on. I think it’s kind of cool, but I know I wouldn’t like it if it was my house 😉
I’m not even sure what to think…. My germaphobe self is grossed out. My artsy self is intrigued by all the colors and textures. Hmmmm…
My WW is barely wordless but you gotta stop by and see our girl – not even home a week yet 🙂

Totally gross… and yet, oddly cool. Way cooler than the underside of many a student desk, I’ll wager…. Happy WW! 🙂
Oh my gosh, that’s cool. And, yes, a bit gross. I hope my kids don’t see this! Happy WW!
Hi (◠‿◠)
Nice to see your chewing gums. *lol* I know that phänomen from Berlin. On Potsdamer Place we have a peace of wall (the wall between east and west berlin). The Tourist have covered this historical document with used chewing gum too. *rolleeyes*

The colorfulness does make up for the ick factor, until you accidentally fall into the wall or something. lmao
