The energy-saving curtains would be best for me. There is no insulation in the walls so when it is cold, it just comes through. There are 2 large window on the east side, where the wind usually blows.

Winterize the walls, too! There’s nothing worse than drab decor inside, but we used to live in an older home that was literally freezing all winter long. We bit the bullet and instead of running our gas fireplace all winter long (huge energy bill), we had injection foam insulation installed in the walls. A warm home plus cozy winter decor is a winning combo!
