Tackle It Tuesday — Week 19

Tackle it Tuesday

Project to Tackle: Fridge Door

It is one of the first places a visitor searches out – the fridge “scrapbook.” And mine is a mess with outdated pictures and no room for new ones, art projects that are month’s old and mismatched magnets.

Now tonight I didn’t cure it all. I still need some decent magnets and I really should part with some of the older pictures of Jackson, but I got it a bit more under control.

Here is the state of the fridge before:

And here it is after. Lots of room for improvement, but I just had to get it at least a bit more presentable and get a few pictures of Julia up.

  1. How do you get the pictures to stick to the fride w/o magnets? Maybe I’m missing it somewhere? I am new to this blog. 🙂

  2. Aahh…fridge art!! Why go to the Louvre, when you can check out finger paints on fridges for free! I love looking at people’s fridges.

I love this post just because I do love to look at other peoples’ fridges!! But, mine is bare- I need to add more interesting things to mine! Good job- yours looks great!

  6. Isn’t it amazing how much stuff accumulates on the fridge door?? I haven’t been able to participate the past 2 weeks, and I really miss it, but hey, guess it just gives me more stuff to post next week 🙂

    Have a great day,
    Sandra

  7. Nicely done. Looks good.

    Thanks–very nice!

I’m having a ton of folks over for Thanksgiving, so I’m also going to make sure that everyone who joins us that day is represented somewhere in that mess, er, nicely arranged grouping of pictures.

  9. Because I spend so much of my time in the kitchen, I love to have stuff on my fridge! I have pictures and quotes, funny jokes and reminders. I have plastic letters and magnetic paper dolls. It all seems like home to me. A cleaned off fridge would just be so sterile to me. Occasionally I take stuff off, and add new stuff. Be proud of that fridge! IT LOOKS GREAT!!

  10. Great job! 🙂

I know Flylady has said not to clutter the fridge with anything, but really…when you have little ones, it’s near impossible not to! My fridge gets out of control once in while, and I have to keep after it, too. My downfall is the paper piles near the computer…ugh!

  11. Nicely done. :0) I have used sticky tack on my fridge at times to help hold pictures in place if I don’t have magnets. It works quite well.

  12. Wonderful job! You have inspired me to get mine done too. It sure looks nice all cleaned up. 🙂 I just noticed your pics and wanted to say “what cute ~ cute twins you are” and just love that one of you has dark hair and the other light.

  13. I’m BACK! Miss me? Anyway that’s great I LOVE LOVE all those pictures – me I am a digital girl and sadly all my pictures are on the computer – I REALLY should get to somewhere and print some off – I miss having them around the house!

    Great Job!

  14. ruth is inspired. and ruth is off to copy janice’s tackle task.

  15. I am off to tackle my project. I meant to leave a subject with my name. I would have called it the Moving List. Good luck everyone.

This is GREAT! We have a rule in my house, NOTHING on the front of the fridge, only on the side that most folks don’t see. Then I clear it off about once a month or so. Extra magnets (HOW do they multiply?????) go into a box, Little Guy gets to play with them every once in a while. I can’t stand looking at the mess. But YOUR fridge looks like a pretty scrapbook page! LOVE IT! 😉

  17. Pass the Torch says:

LOL! I had to laugh at your top pic. Looks just like mine. How do we accumulate so much stuff? Second pic looks great.

  18. I’m new here, I just tackled my daughters closet, I hope this will get me motivated because I have a lot of projects to tackle!
    Btw, your frig looks great!

  19. Debbie (Fruitful Spirit) says:

I tried years ago to keep a clean fridge front but could not stand it being without! I try to not let it get like it is now but I do clean it off once in a while. A great tackle and one I might have to borrow soon. Looks good!

  20. Stephanie says:

It is amazing how clutter the outside of the fridge becomes! Looks great!

  21. Wow, it looks great!! I have the animal and one-letter versions of that Leapfrog thing on my fridge and dishwasher, I’m always finding them in odd places ;).

  22. I have too many projects to tackle so I am not participating…however, I love to visit others to see that I am not alone :)…I love to look at the refrigerators of my friends…refrigerators tell the stories of our lives, that is why they are so interesting!

  23. I have that same frog speller thing on my fridge! Great minds think alike!
