I am thirty-four and I still love Easy Bake Ovens!
Hasbro is treating us again! For our sixth contest in our “Two Weeks of Toys” Giveaway Event we have the iconic Easy Bake Oven.
This year is actually the 45th anniversary of the Easy Bake Oven. If you hop over to the Easy Bake site, you can see the history, including photos showing the evolution of the Easy Bake Oven over the years. It is so fun to see them all!
When I was a kid, we had the orange one from the very early 80’s. Oh how I adored our Easy Bake Oven. We seemed to rarely have any of the recipe packs; we baked more sliced apples than Easy Bake cake mixes. But we never grew tired of it!

I thought having a son (and the most testosterone-driven boy possible at that!) I would be skipping the Easy Bake Oven stage with him. But as a creative little monkey who loves to cook up the most bizarre “recipes,” he is thrilled to spend time in the kitchen. When I mentioned that we would be reviewing Easy Bake – he begged to test it! LOL
When I brought it home, I told him to close his eyes because I had a surprise for him. When he saw it, he screamed with as much excitement as if I had just given him a video game. Now his excitement probably has to do with the fact that he is imagining eating all the cakes and cookies he wants to make, but it is still super cute!
It is such a riot going from Nerf Blasters and everything “boy” with Jackson, to seeing him put on an apron, grab some pink utensils and whip up an Easy Bake cake! That kid continues to surprise me – and make me laugh out loud.
The latest version of the Easy Bake Oven is pretty much just the same as I remembered it. Sure, it now looks like a microwave, but it all seems to work just like it did when I was a kid. I love those little round tin cake pans! (Jackson was disappointed when he realized his “cakes” were going to be that small. I guess he figured that he would be making full size cakes! LOL)

This was one of my favourite Christmas presents when I was a young girl. It was such fun making chocolate cakes, that always seemed to have a rather runny middle, but my parents and I ate it nevertheless. My twin sister and I dreamed of having a Easy Bake over as little girls. My beautiful Mom was so lucky to find a second hand Easy Bake at a thrift store in almost perfect shape. Pink, or deep rose I remember. Boy did we have a blast. The Apple pie was an experience!!!

I had several Easy Bake Ovens as a little girl. I used to have parties with my best friend and we would bake all day long and whip up our own frosting creations to decorate them with. Then the next day we would set up a stand and sell lemonade/punch and treats to our neighbors and family. Then we would save the money for something fun we were planning like a trip to the fair or to Disneyland.
I am so excited that we can get these again and can’t wait for my daughter to use one. I attribute this little wonder to my lifelong love of baking. I am sure my friends all thank them too!

My little sister used to have an Easy Bake Oven. I thought I had it but I would have been 14 when it came out and I doubt it was mine. I was too old to get an Easy Bake Oven when they first came out, but I was enthralled by the concept and made sure my daughter had one so I could play with it. I wish I would have taken better care of my Easy Bake Oven when I was a child… I never thought of using it for my own child later. I loved baking when I was little and still do to this day thanks to my Easy Bake Oven from 20 years ago!

I have a 5 year old grand daughter that would love this and she gets a kick out of helping Granny make a cake.
As a new mom and wife, I am still in the infancy of cooking skills and often feel that I’d do better with an easy bake oven!:) My little girl loves to help me cook and would love the ease of using an oven designed for her age.

I loved my Easy Bake Oven when I was a kid and used to bake in it all the time.
My parents kept it and gave it to me several years ago. Although I think it’s neat, I think I prefer my daughters have a new one!

I have just started involving my 22 month old in the kitchen. He LOVES to help, he thinks it’s the coolest thing. He loves putting the little trash in the trashcan. I never had an easy bake oven. Must be why I’m not much of a cook. I really want my son to be involved and want to be involved.

When I was little I loved to help my mom in the kitchen. She cooked everyday and baked often too. I always wanted an Easy Bake oven of my own but never got one. It was the one toy that I would of traded all the others for. Now when my 2 year old niece comes over she always wants to make something with her “Nouna” (me, godmother in greek). She helps me stir brownie batter or break noodles for soup. Last weekend she helped me make pudding parfaits! We would have a blast with this oven!!!!

My daughter loves to cook. I had a little oven when I was about 6 or 7. All I remember is getting burned. LOL!
I still have my old one but it doesn’t work. I just can’t seem to throw it away. I remember the hours that i played with it. I cooked anything I could find in it. My daughter is just to the age of wanting to help momma cook everynight. I would love to win this for her.

I never had much interest in all things culinary (except eating, which is a differnt story:-) but my sister DESPERATELY wanted an easy bake oven as a kid. However, given that my sister was so accident prone, my parents were terrified to give it to her so she never got one. At 29, she still puts it on her list every year. If I win this one, it’ll be under the tree for her:-)

I wanted this so badly when I was a kid. I ended up with a Magic Chef, a knock-off version. It was okay, but it wasn’t the “real” thing. I would love to share this with my daughter.
