I can hardly believe it’s already that time of year again, but, my kids started back to school last week. Our youngest reached a milestone of sorts – he’s officially a middle-schooler!
Where we live, starting middle school means taking on a little more responsibility and becoming more independent. It also means wearing uniforms to school. The elementary and high school students do not wear uniforms, but it is a policy that’s in place at our middle school. The kids don’t seem to mind and I have to say, it certainly makes getting ready in the mornings quick and easy.
When it comes to school uniforms for my kids, I look for two things. First, they must be comfortable. This is a must since they will be worn every single school day. I want my child to be relaxed and at ease at school. Nice comfy clothing is key to helping make his day go well. Second, the uniforms must be of high quality and durability. Because the uniform items will be worn so frequently, that also means they will be laundered frequently. They need to hold up well and look good wash after wash.
Lands’ End is a great source for school uniforms for kids. They offer a variety of styles and colors and a guarantee that allows you to return any item at any time if you are not satisfied.

We were able to try out a Lands’ End top and bottom for my son. Our uniform policy allows khaki or black pants and polo shirts in any shade of blue or white. So, we tested out the Lands’ End Plain Front pants in khaki and the Short Sleeve Solid Performance Interlock Polo shirt in navy.
I’m impressed with the quality of the clothing and my son told me that they are very comfortable to wear. He looked so handsome and grown up!
Some of the features of the Lands’ End uniforms that I really like:
- the pants are reinforced with Iron Knees for extra durability – just what boys need!
- the pants are made of 100% cotton fabric that is stain and wrinkle resistant
- adjustable tabs inside the pants allow for better fit
- polo shirt fabric is super soft
- polo shirt will not shrink, pill or fade and holds up wash after wash
Lands’ End has always been a brand I trust and so it’s no surprise that they make great, quality school uniforms for kids. If you are going to be shopping for school uniforms this year, I highly recommend you check out Lands’ End. Their school uniform items are available for purchase year-round and with their selection of colors, sizes, and styles, you’re sure to find just what you need.
Lands’ End provided me with a free uniform to facilitate this review as well as compensation for my time. I was not obligated to write a positive review and all opinions expressed are 100% my own.

Choosing what to wear is a no brainer 🙂
Knowing what you have to wear each day, less stress
There’s no guesswork in what to wear.
I like that there are no fashion wars and kids can focus on their school work rather than who is wearing the latest fad and who is not.
While it isn’t quite as much fun to pick out school clothes, it certainly makes the process more simple!
they arent concerned with fashion statements since they all basically look alike, and it saves us money on clothes.
no bullying about peoples outfits…everyone is the same in that respect
it’s quick and easy to find the day’s outfit – less stress
Getting ready in the morning is SO much easier!
So much easier to pick out clothes in the morning. With everyone in the school having to wear a uniform, others can’t judge you on the types of clothes that you wear.
my favorite thing about my children wearing uniforms to school is that everyone has to wear the same thing so no style issues with other children at school
easy to pick a daily outfit
like uniforms because they go on sale during BTS sales, and low maintenance (don’t have to worry to much about matching the shirt to the pants)
there is no room for showing off
As someone who spent time in a private school as well as a public school, I have to say there is an equalizing quality that uniforms have. Kids are better able to concentrate on admiring the inside of each other when you take away the distractions of fashion.
I would sure make choosing what to wear each morning super easy.
The fact that there’s no fighting over what they wear!

It makes field trips easier when you can spot all the matching kiddos
I love the fact that the other kids don’t make fun of kids who are less fortunate and can’t have the nicer clothing.
I love that my daughter wears a uniform to school because it takes all the guess work out of our morning routine on what to wear to school for that day.

I love that my kids aren’t always begging for new pricey shoes or clothes because it’s what’s “in” because everyone’s wearing the same thing. Plus it makes getting dressed in the morning pretty easy.
not having to always have the expensive shoes, clothes etc.
It’s easier to get ready
It’s just easy.
I like that uniforms put everyone on the same playing field – there’s no division of fashion have and have nots.
don’t have to worry about fighting with them in the morning for what top wear to school
I like that there’ll be no peer pressure at school of who’s wearing or can afford the latest style. takes off lots of pressure from kids.
I love that there’ll be no thinking about what they’ll be wearing or worrying that they won’t like the outfit i’d choose for them. uniforms are easy peazy for moms and kids! love them!
I love uniforms because there is no real battle over what my daughter would want to wear and if it matched.
not worrying about keeping up with styles.
My kids don’t get caught up in being shallow, worrying about what the latest thing to wear is. They just go to school and learn!
I like they always look nice and there is no fighting over what they wear.
I love that you don’t have to worry about picking out school clothes each morning!
Always know what we are going to wear!
I like the simplicity of it.
I think it helps to eliminate bullying and my boost kids self esteem
No one comparing who is wearing name brands
My favorite thing is no competition and it’s much faster and easy to dress them
It makes kids focus on the learning, not who is wearing what.
I would love for my kids to wear uniforms to school. I think it equalizes kids learning opportunites by taking clothing based popularity out of the equation. It also doesnt hurt that it saves mama and daddy some money!
I love the collegiate look of uniforms.
easy mornings are my favorite thing about them!
I love that all the kids look nice!
Favorite thing is that it saves so much time in the morning.
you dont have to think everyday, what are they going to wear.
I don’t have to think twice about what they will wear for school.
It takes away from some of the bullying and harassing kids can get for what they wear or don’t wear my high school was like a fashion runway you had to wear labels or you were nothing
The kids not being made fun off everyone is wearing the same thing
Less worry about peer pressure.
No last minute clothing decisions.
The fact all kids will be wearing the same so there will be no making fun of one another!
easier to pick clothes in the morning. all students are dressed equally -there is no showing off clothes
don’t need to have the morning what to wear fight
I love not having to fit about what she wants to wear. It’s all taken care of.
My favorite thing about uniforms is not having to decide what Lil Man is going to wear everyday. The uniform makes that decision for me and I don’t have to worry about him wearing something that someone else would make fun of or make harsh comments about because they are all wearing the very same thing!
My fave thing is that the kids don’t feel pressured to wear the most up-to-date fashions since they’re all wearing uniforms. Thanks.

We dont have to think abut what to wear each morning
no decisions in the morning!
you don’t have to waste time picking out outfits
IT PREVENTS THEM FROM BEING TEASED ABOUT WHAT THEY’RE WEARING BECAUSE THEY’RE ALL WEARING THE SAME THING. AT THE SAME TIME, THEY CANNOT EXPRESS THEIR CREATIVITY. SO I DON’T KNOW HOW I’D FEEL UNLESS I WAS CONFRONTED WITH IT DIRECTLY.
My fav thing is there is no arguing about what is being worn. It’s pick a color, and get dressed!
I like the basic simple style of school uniforms
you don’t have to worry about picking out clothes in the morning.
It allows them to be equals at least on that level.
Thanks for the chance.
I believe uniforms are less pressure on kids
my favorite thing is there is no social status for who can afford the name brands
For me it’s the most AWESOME thing as we know what we need no need to worry about anyone competing to see who has the better what everyone has the same plus the BONUS this mama loves to take a pic of her boys wearing the same thing (shhh they just look so cute although my 13 & 9 so totally disagree)
I like it because you don’t have to argue on what they are going to wear to school in the mornings
You don’t have to buy school clothes.
Easy to have age-appropriate clothing.
Knowing what to wear each day
That they make friends with kiddos based on who they are and not what they wear.
I like that I don’t have to help them choose what to wear- they can help themselves.
That you really don’t have to worry about affording the newest pair of expensive jeans because everyone must wear the same uniform and that everyone looks nice and neat
It saves time and is easier to pick out clothes every morning.
You always know what you’re going to wear to school!
Yay for this giveaway! My son needs uniforms for school and some quality clothes would be great for my rough and tumble 7 year old! 🙂
My son doesn’t have to wear a uniform, but i did growing up in England. I wish they would have it manditory in Canada, it really takes the guess work out of dressing for school.
I would love some free uniforms:)
It’s easier to pick out your clothes in the morning without having to think a lot about it.
I love that I can be done with clothes shopping! It makes back to school so much easier when all I need to be sure of is that I have blue/white shirts and navy/khaki bottoms.
