I am not sure when or where Jackson heard the song, but for the last month he has continually been singing, “I wanna rock n roll all night… and party every day…”
It is getting old fast, let me tell you.
This morning, when I was attempting to tame his bed-head before school, Jackson revolted, “Mom! That’s not how rock-n-roll guys wear their hair.”
With a wild shake of his head, he ran his fingers through his wet hair. When his messed up hair met his approval, he air guitar-ed his way out of the bathroom singing, “I wanna rock n roll all night… and party every day…”
And this is six. What is waiting for me???

I know what you are talking about with boy rebels. My oldest son is 14 years old and he has gone through his hair phases. Right now he wants his hair long and in his face. It drives me crazy!

Seems like he’d get along with my 6 year old. For him Rock n Roll is a hairstyle, a clothing style and an attitude:) I’ll be wondering about the next phases along with you.

OH that made me chuckle. Boys sure do develop an opinion on hair don’t they. And I thought only girls did that. My youngest just used half a bottle of kiddie mousse on his hair the other day. It was flaking off all day. He looked like he had dandruff. What a funny guy.
We have a song that is sung wrong every time it snows and I can’t possible sing it right now. I know what you mean when you say it gets old real fast. Yes rock and roll is a hairstyle just like movie star is and having bling in your hair!
