These books can grow with your child and allow you to start valuable conversations with your kids about vital principles.

I give my kids something to look up to as a good role model. Kids copy everything you do, so set a good example and instead of scolding and yelling, explain why what they are doing is wrong.
I lead by example.
We discuss good character traits and then point out and praise when they and others demonstrate good character traits.
I think teaching by example is the best way to teach children
As a single Mom of 3, I show my children BBY EXAMPLE the right way to conduct themselves and we discuss how to behave in various situations.
I try to model behavior and also verbally teach my grandson.

I choose to teach my children principles by modeling the behavior. I would appreciate some additional tools to help with this.

I try to teach my daughter good character traits by practicing them myself and showing by example.
We have been focussing lately on the quote “If you have to choose between being right and being kind, choose kind.” Not sure who said it!
I try to teach by example, tolerance, kindness and love. Also when we see actions that are not positive we try to point it out that is not the correct behavior.
i always look for teaching opportunities in our every day life, i think those stick the most.

I have Christian picture books I read to my son and I talk to him about doing the right things.
every chance that presents itself I discuss and talk about.i tel her to remember that her reputation supersedes her.i also say when I am not there and you need to make a choice remember this if I was standing beside you would I approve? I taught her honesty is ivory important once broken never easily replaced!
