Olivia is cooing and laughing and squealing – she has just discovered Sesame Street!
She had never really “seen” the TV before. Jackson has had programs on, but Olivia never noticed them.
But this afternoon she was super fussy and didn’t want to play with any toys. I was desperately trying to get dinner ready. Jackson and Phil were out and there was no one to entertain her. So I grabbed an old Sesame Street DVD of Jackson’s and put it in.
Magic.
She thinks it is fabulous!
She is now “finished” watching. She only watched for about five minutes or so. But it was still so cute to see her trying to interact with Elmo and the gang.

Great tips for mom’s to make some extra cash from home …

My daughter, Ellie, was fussy one day too and I was trying to finish up some homework online. I had her in my lap and googled veggietails. I had heard of them and I knew they were colorful. I got a youtube site with Veggie Tale clips and she was mesmerized. She doesn’t really watch anything else though. My mom bought her some dvd’s.
I agree that there is something special about Elmo…he remains my daughter’s favorite. In fact Sesame Street DVD’s are what we’ve used to keep my daughter still during her breathing treatments on the nebulizer.
I don’t know what it is about Elmo, but he works for my son too. He crawls over to the tv and tries to get up to his “friends” inside!
We love Sesame St. but then again who doesn’t?!!? My son just said Elmo the other day it’s neat to see them get excited and interact with the character’s! He only watches for about 5 mins. or so also! 🙂
Sesame Street & Big Bird still weave their magic…At times we need a well earned break & it is great entertainment. It’s been a while in our household!
The joys we stumble upon through desperation :).
That’s really cute! My little son was first captured by Elmo too–long before he would watch anything else.
