It is hard to imagine while you dance in the sunshine with daffodils, there is a snowstorm keeping me from getting home to you.
“Just one sleep,” I promised you. But I didn’t expect the Chicago airport to shut down with snow in March! I thought I would be home to snuggle you tonight.
I am so sorry my little one. I know you can’t understand why Mommy isn’t always there.
I miss you sweet thing — and I will see you tomorrow. But how about I don’t promise. Maybe that is safer.

Poor mommy – I hate being away from my kids and they are all grown up. It must be so hard when they are little. That is such a lovely photo of Olivia. I bet your home-coming was even better because it was much more anticipated. 🙂
This weather is so crazy, isn’t it! 60 degree weather one day and snow the next… I hope that you make it home quickly to snuggle with her today!!
Awww, I just about cried reading that. It is so hard to break a promise to them, especially when they are so small and trusting.
But, you will get home, and tell her all about the big snow and how the airplanes couldn’t take off, and she’ll enjoy the story of your adventure. 🙂

Oh, sweet Olivia. I’m so sorry you got snowed in! Were you able to enjoy any of the beautiful day in Philadelphia this afternoon? I came home and told my daughters (3rd grade, kindergarten, 3) about my facial and pedicure and now they want a spa day, too 🙂
Nope – I was in the airport but no worries. Had a great weekend anyway! 🙂
