Blogging life doesn’t get more exciting than this…
“5 Minutes for Mom” has grown a whole new FAMILY!!!
You know that this site is run by twin sisters, but now we want to introduce some new 5 Minutes for Mom sisters:
5 Minutes for Special Needs
5 Minutes for Special Needs is managed by Tammy, another big supporter of 5 Minutes for Mom who blogs at Praying for Parker. |
5 Minutes for ParentingWe don’t think twice about getting lost in the eyes of a child, but we must not forget the wondrous scenery from the view of a Mother. Take a moment to enjoy the voices of real Moms and their true stories of figuring this parenting thing out. We may be from different walks of life and circumstances, but we’re all in it together 5 Minutes for Parenting is managed by Stephanie Precourt, who has been a long-time supporter of 5 Minutes for Mom. You can find her blogging at Adventures in Babywearing and at many other sites across the blogosphere. |
5 Minutes for Going GreenGoing green is not a destination — it’s a journey. Together we can do a little bit each day to sustain our planet and clean up our lives, because even a small change can make a big difference. Our world is a gift, and taking care of it can be fun, fulfilling and easier than ever. No matter where you are at in life, or in this journey, green looks good on everyone. 5 Minutes for Going Green is managed by Arianne, who is also a prolific contributor in the blogosphere. Her personal blog is To Think is to Create. |
5 Minutes for BooksAt 5 Minutes for Books, we hope to encourage you to carve out time for that really great novel, or to point you to that much needed resource for guidance in parenting, marriage, or children’s books. Join us for book recommendations and giveaways for all ages, exclusive author interviews and other regular features. 5 Minutes for Books is managed by Jennifer Donovan, who should be familiar to you as the 5 Minutes for Book column editor and site contributor. She also blogs at Snapshot. |
These sites look fantastic thanks to the work of Ruby and Roja Design, and will be fantastic reads thanks to the hard work of the managing editors and all of their talented contributors.
We are thrilled to have such a brilliant group of writers joining us on this blogging adventure.
The last several weeks have been an exciting and exhausting road of blog building. But now we can all take a moment to sit back and enjoy the new sister sites. Drink in the designs, read the first posts and welcome our new sisters to the family.

I love the new look, and I love the new buttons and graphics… so trendy!!!
Congrats girlies. It looks like all your hard work has paid off. WTG. Awesome sisters you have brought to life!
I am so thrilled to be adopted into the family.
Everyone has worked so hard…and the results are amazing.
Congratulations on the “expansion.” Very exciting stuff. I’m particularly interested in the “5 Minutes for Books” site. I love all things related to books and literacy so that should be right up my alley.
One quick question: How will having these sub-sites affect the site here? I know you do a little bit of all of those things around here. Will you be changing your focus at all or moving forward “as usual”? 🙂
This is great!! I’m happy and excited for you guys and what you’ve done for us, thank you~
WOW, what great ideas for new sites! The designs look wonderful, and such terrific writers, too! Can I make another suggestion? What about 5 Minutes for Reviews? So many of us do product reviews, we could contribute a few lines about the newest, hottest stuff! Just a thought 🙂
Yeah! So exciting! Can’t wait!
Thank you all so much! We are so excited… and rather exhausted… I went to bed this morning at 9:30 AM!!!
Each night over the last month I have stayed up a little later, and a little later… and then last night I just never even made it to bed.
I got a few hours of sleep this morning and I hope to get a good night’s sleep tonight.
Thank you all again and we hope you LOVE the new sites as much as we do.
WOW!! What an exciting endeavor! Congrats!
WOW WOW WOW!!!! SUPER awesome, what great ideas…can’t wait to check them all out!! Y’all just ROCK! 😀
Have you guys slept yet? I can’t believe today has finally come, so fun and so fabulous! Love ya gals. 🙂
Very exciting – new additions are ALWAYS fun! 🙂
I’m so excited about all of these new spots! Especially the 5 mins for books!
Awesome! That’s a great idea to cover specialized topics. My suggestion for your next “baby” would be to also add 5 Minutes for Humour (Notice the Canadian spelling) ;), where you could have an Editor to spotlight humourous “Mommy” stories from all of our blogs, since we all have hilarious stories from every day life. I have found that my blog is most popular when I write humorously, so it seems to me that Mommy Humor (or Humour) would be a great addition to your family also!!
How fun! I just subscribed to the feeds to the Parents and Green one 🙂 Thanks so much!
More resources! Hooray!
Congrats ladies on this wonderful new venture. Fabulous idea and I’m sure we will all enjoy breaking out into our specific interests with your experts! Love it. Love it. Love it. Best of luck Susan, Janice and to all of the new Editors. Colleen 🙂
Wow – what a an awesome surprise! I love all of the sister sites – and you’ve got some incredible bloggers involved. Congratulations on the new ‘family! 🙂
This is such an exciting day. You’ve picked some great bloggers for the sister blogs and I can’t wait to see how they grow.
How cool! Congratulations, ladies!
This IS exciting…more to love, yes?
Is “congratulations” the right word to use here? Wonderful way to offer something of value for such diverse interests. The bloggers I know are WONDERFUL, which tells me the ones I don’t know are, too.
You go, girls! Or should I say “sistahs!!” 🙂
It’s looking nice around here!
What a great idea! I love it!
I can’t believe it’s here. Wow. This is one wonderful family to be a part of. Thank you.
Steph
