I confess, I LOVE TV.
Not mindless channel surfing — that I loathe. No, I love only a select few dramas and comedies. I TIVO those favorites and cherish a few moments of late night escape or light laughs.
Yes, as a ridiculously busy work-at-home mom, I do NOT really have time to watch TV… and over the summer, my TV hasn’t played anything but Super Why, Little Einsteins and the like. But wow, I have missed it! And I am so happy the new season is here so that I can indulge in some weekly treats dished up just for Mommy.
Janice usually hooks me up with the names of the best shows to schedule on my TIVO. Somehow, she always seems to know what to watch… which makes me suspicious… how much time is she spending watching TV when I’m busy working… hmmmm… But, I digress…
This year, I will be watching four shows: The Office, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters and Samantha Who.
The first two I have been watching since their first seasons, but to the latter two, I’m a latecomer.
Two years ago, during the first season of Brothers & Sisters, Janice got hooked. But I refused to watch. I was trying to break my TV addiction and I could not afford a new show.
I kept to my two favorites (The Office and Desperate Housewives) and some Grey’s Anatomy. But in the summer before the second season started, I saw a Brothers & Sisters Season 1 rerun. It only took one episode.
I called Janice. “Why did you let me miss this show?” I shrieked.
“I told you.” She said.
“You didn’t tell me it was THAT good!!!” I replied.
So that summer, I caught up on old episodes and entered the 2nd season as a full addict. And now Season 3 is here and it’s ranked at priority 3 on my TIVO.

And my fourth and final indulgence this year will be Samantha Who. Again, Janice has influenced me here. Janice insists Samantha Who is her favorite comedy and that Christina Applegate deserves to be scheduled into my TIVO. So Samantha Who will be officially taking up my fourth and final spot in my roster of must-see TV.

i hate it, but i do love to watch tv and feel guilty when i watch too much. I fell in love with Samantha who? from the begining. I have only two TV obsessions. Grey’s and Private Practice. I occasionally watch Ghost Hunters or The First 48 but when the first two are on everyone knows to stay away from me and my TV LOL.

I am in love with my TIVO, I really didn’t think I watched as much TV as I did after I realized how many shows I was saving.
I love re-runs of shows, I never got into Friends until it was in re-run, same with Will & Grace, Reba, Still Standing and so on. 1/2 hour comedies is my favorite.

Unfortunately the TV is the centerpiece of the house. TIVO is an evil invention. We feel that there is nothing on TV unless we are recording 2 shows an hour from 7pm-9pm. Our guilty pleasure are the reality shows from VH1

Samantha Who? is cute, but I’m not hooked yet. We’re really one hooked on 3 right now: Amazing Race on Sunday, Biggest Loser on Tuesday, and Survivor on Thursday. I do miss Men in Trees and can’t wait for Lost to return. However, I’m not much for what’s on. Reality TV seems to be the only thing that catches my interest.

Definitely! My husband and I record MadMen every week so we can watch it later at our leisure. And of course there’s Desperate Housewives and Monk. Those are our favorites.

I usually wath Rachael Ray & The View in the AM while I exercise. In the evening there are several I hate to miss, Sarah connor Chronicles, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Bones, House, & Ugly Betty. Samantha Who is a hoot, I’d like to win that one. Thanks!
I would like to win Brothers and Sisters. I have never seen it but my friend loves it and always tells me I should watch it. Favorite shows here are Grey’s Anatomy, Life, private Practice and looove the new show Fringe.
i watch so much tv it’s slightly ridiculous. if i didn’t have a dvr i would definitely not have a life. however the shows i am currently hooked on are:
heroes, the hills, how i met your mother, greek, fringe, without a trace, law and order: svu, america’s next top model, criminal minds, csi:, grey’s anatomy, desperate housewives and brothers and sisters.
i seriously do not need any more new television, haha.
Brothers and Sisters would be my choice. I don’t have too much time for tv viewing so I have to be very selective about which shows I watch. Survivor, House, Weeds, Dexter are among my favorites.
I heart my dvr. The Mentalist is my newest favorite. These two shows are both so great – if I win, just surprise me!

I don’t watch much tv, unless there’s a show on that I really like. I’ll make time for one or two during the week.
I like to watch dramas like NCIS, The Unit, CSI and Criminal Minds. I also watch alot of NFL football. Between the 2 sets I would choose Brothers & Sisters, I saw it a few times and really enjoyed it.
I try to watch my favorite shows, but it’s hard to fit them in! I’ve heard Samantha Who is hilarious!

I love Desperate Housewives! I am also a huge fan or The Big Bang Theory, How I met your Mother and 2 and a Half Men. Monday night is so my TV night!

I admit, at first i tried like hell not to like Bros and sisters just because I need as much sleep as I can get Thursday nights, but I had to give in. I love it! and samantha who? I loved from the first second. always been a Christina fan. I don’t have TIVO and think it might be dangerous….
I love Brothers & Sisters I have not missed an episode yet! As for Samantha Who I have never seen it but after watching Christina on Oprah and seeing what she went through I was really wanting to see her show.
Samantha Who? would be my preference. With two young kids, the TV is either on a children’s channel or off until they are to bed. I have started using the DVR more, so I am getting in a little TV time.
We don’t have a tv. Shocking, I know! I have to confess though to watching some stuff on line – I’m a reality show junkie – Survivor, America’s Next Top Model, and sadly, I’m also a 90210 addict!
I am usually so busy with the kids that I don’t have time to watch a series on tv that you have to watch every week to understand. I usually end up watching shows like Myth Busters that don’t have a storyline. I would love to have seen Samantha Who and was really thinking of putting this on my Christmas list.
I love Brothers and Sisters. I relate to their inner squabbles and the fact that they forgive and go on with one another. A DVD set of that series would be fab.

I work while I listen to TV. I have a terrible addiction that only started about two years ago. Prior to that I stuck my nose up at people who watched prime time.

I can not live without my dvr. Just last week I got uverse which lets me record 4 shows at one time! I am in heaven. I like to watch my dvr late at night.

Brothers&Sisters for me please :O) My husband and I pick up all the toys, grab a snack and watch a show together before we hit the hay. Even though our TV favorites differ, we usually agree on Heroes, CSI, and House Hunters. When I am by myself I indulge in reality tv!!!
I sadly have more than 4 shows scheduled on my DVR! I justify my tv watching by trying to fold laundry or cleaning up the room I am in while the show is on. Thank goodness for DVR though! I love Samantha Who – I think it’s hilarious.
I only watch NCIS and Survivor, since I don’t have a DVR and don’t want to neglect my family too often 🙂
But I would love to try a new one on DVD, because then I can watch after the kids go to bed! Either one sounds really good, but if you made me choose, I would probably try Brothers & Sisters.
Well I have never really watched either of those shows but if you ever have an opening for one more show you hould try “Army Wives” on Lifetime. I am totally addicited to it in my eyes one of the best series out there.
TV is on most of the time at our house – mostly on the Disney channel or Nick. But I do love me some Samantha Who? I think it’s a brilliant show. I also just started watching LOST. I caught up will all 4 seasons in just over 3 weeks. I can wait for the new season to start.

i have majot TV addictions! There is a show or 2 that i must every week. like tuesdays is the new 90210 series at 8 pm. then Law and Order SVU at 10. wednesday’s, Private practice, thursday’s grey’s, and then im usually reading or something.
i’m definitely a TV-aholic. House, CSI:NY, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Ghost Whisperer, Numbers and then Little People, Big World and Ace of Cakes. yes, a strange mix i know. thank heavens for TIVO. 🙂

I *LOVE* The Office. I’m also watching old seasons of Veronica Mars (which unfortunately is no longer). Our TV died last week, so I guess I’m no longer a TV watcher. Since we’re not planning on replacing it, I guess this is a cold turkey intervention. 🙂

Oh I love Samantha Who!! Christina is my new favorite Actress. She is so darn funny. I’ve been hooked since the first episode.
I watched one episode of Brothers & Sisters. It’s not that I didn’t like it, I think at the time it came on, I was still sleep deprived with a new born, so I kept falling asleep. But Sally Fields is another favorite of mine. I would love to watch it, but I’m one that has to see things from the beginning. I’ll have to try to find episodes from the first two seasons & try to get caught up & watch this season.

Ahh yes, the TV addiction. I could and should join a TV addiction support group. But I’d probably learn about more shows I’d like from the other addicts. I love Brothers & Sisters! I tell my husband that I like watching it because it makes our family drama seem much more normal. I’m also addicted to Desperate Housewives, Grey’s, House, and a slew of Reality TV. Did I mention that I might have a problem?
