What an awesome giveaway! Currently, our family computer has a 10gb hard drive so we could use an upgrade. Also my son has very hypermobile fingers due to a connective tissue disorder and sometimes needs a break from a mouse so a touch screen would be such a blessing!

I would have to nominate my husband to recieved the computer. He’s leaving to go work up in Canada ( a big sacrifice from him but we really need it) and I’d love for him to have a computer to communicate with the kids with. They’d have so much fun with the webcam (I just hope noone else will be able to see the shows they put on…because I know a wild rumpus will ensue!) I would love to win this. My husband has been taking care of me for 5 years since I injured my back, so severely sometimes that I can’t even sit up and use the internet, and he works a 12 hour shift each day (or should I say night, driving about 45 miles each way). This is a great offer. I am working to get a full time income from home and have been learning about making webinars, Submitting videos for marketing as well as creating screencasts with Camtasia. I can’t buy the software until I get a computer that can handle it.
For now, I’m using a Dell Latitude that I got from Ebay. It is slow, slow, slow! It’s 10 years old! I hope we could win a computer so that I can get my work done quicker instead of rebooting 2 times every day (I’m not kidding, it locks up/gets hung up that often).

What a great computer!! I’m running on a 5-year-old Dell that is on it’s third hard drive. My kids complain because they can’t play some of the 3d games on Nickelodeon and the like, and it runs slower than molasses, even on a DSL connection, so we could definitely use and appreciate this! Being out of work almost steadily for the past two years, I definitely can’t afford to buy a new computer; it’s difficult enough to find a way to pay school fees and buy uniform shirts for the kids, even though they both are lucky enough to be in school tuition-free due to their grades. This would be the best present in the world for them!!

I nominate my pastor to win the second one. He is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. Just one example: One night every week he goes to the laundromat. He doesn’t do his own laundry, he does laundry for the homeless. He pays for it, brings the detergent and orders pizza. He is a great man of God.

I would love to win this awesome computer. It has everything in it I could ever dream of . My children live so far away that most of the time we communicate by computer. I have 4 children and 9 grandchildren, and having a computer with a webcam and mic built right in is a NaNee’s dream come true. I’m on disability, & I’m a transcriptionist & work out of my home. It sure would make life a whole lot easier for me. For the other one I would nominate my daughter who is a stay at home mom and also works at hom on the computer. She has four children, and it would make life a bit easier on her too to have a better computer.
I would like to Nominate my MOM. As far as Mom’s goes she’s the greatest. My mom would give you the shirt off her back, the money in her pocket, the keys to her car, and not ask for any of it back. She’s a giver and a forgiver.
SHe’s had a really last rough couple of years. She’s been put on disability due to slipping falling down the stairs at my Uncles house. She had to have back surgery and this did her no good. SHE can’t stand for more than 10 min at time. She’s been strugging with weight loss issues and can’t get exercise in due to her back injury. She just recently lost her mother, and mother in law. None of us kids live close to here and I know she misses us and her grandchildren terribly. Her computer is so old she can’t get it to stay connected for more than a few minutes at a time and she ws told to junk it and upgrade.

For the second nomination I would love this to go to my stepson James.
James is terminally ill (and end stage) 14 year old. Because he gets sick often he has to stay at home alot. A power surge broke his old laptop and his mom and stepdad don’t have the money to fix it. As you can imgaine being 14 and terminal makes it very hard for him to find things to do without technology.
This would be such a wonderful thing if he got this….he would be in shock!

I am a grandmother of nine, mother of four and I would really like to win this computer because it has a built in webcam and speakers for one very good reason, and my youngest child lives out of State and the others live far away too, and I could literally see them more often.

I just saw advertisements for this computer and it looks amazing. It’s great for someone like me who likes to run a few programs at once. I would like to nominate my parents to receive the second computer. My father was recently diagnosed with leukemia but before they could even start him on chemotherapy they had to remove a cancerous kidney. So he’s recuperating from that and then waiting to start chemo. This TouchSmart would not only be a blessing for him during his recovery, but my mom also babysits a 14-mo old and a 3-yr old in addition to taking care of my dad. So the kids would definitely benefit as well. God bless you all and I hope the second computer goes to a really deserving and needy family!

I definitely would love to win this computer. Ours is on its last leg. Our laptop screen doesnt work so I found a monitor at a yard sale and connected it to the laptop. The second one, if we were so lucky, would go to my son who is in college. He worked full time for three years and went to school full time all so I could return to college and be able to do my clinicals. He never complained once for carrying our financial load. He so deserves it.

Our household could really use this computer!
My grandmother would benefit so much from this computer. She lives with my aunt, who is severely disabled mentally & physically from a horrible accident that occurred about 4 years ago. My aunt’s husband divorced her after the accident (a long story) and so my grandmother (who is over 70) is her primary caretaker. She is an amazing woman who is on-the-go constantly. No one I have met even comes close to her level of intensity and energy.
I know my grandmother struggles with normal computers a bit – she dislikes sitting down much, for one thing! However, I think this touchscreen could help simplify things a bit – and the screen is so nice & big for her. I know she would enjoy sending/receiving pictures & email if she had a nice new computer to use instead of her old one. Most importantly, I think she could really benefit from being connected to other caretakers. I can’t think of a day in her life when she hasn’t been taking care of someone. Perhaps the computer could give her some way of connecting with other people in a way that doesn’t involve taking care of their physical needs.
There’s also the hope that my aunt could use it as well. She plays a couple games that are intended to exercise certain cognitive functions, in hopes that she can eventually gain control over her emotions & function at a higher level (nrain injuries are so complex). However, I wonder if a touchscreen might be a great tool for her to use, especially as she can barely see out of one eye because of the accident.
At any rate, I know that so many people need this computer. But I thought I’d write about my grandmother, just to add her name to the list of deserving people.

I nominate my husband to win the HP Touchsmart 600! My husband and I both have old computers. His laptop is 5 years old. He’s wanted a new computer for the past few years. Today is our 3rd Anniversary. It would be the best surprise!
He has done so much for me and my family. I’ve been sick for a long time and he has given up a lot to take care of me. He also helps out my mom and dad. My mom has Multiple Sclerosis and it’s hard for my dad because he’s been her caregiver for 19 years. She became bedridden in 1990!

My sister desperately needs a new computer. I gave her an old refubished HP Notebook that I purchased 9 years ago. She’s been using it for organizing her church’s social events but it’s slowing down with age.

Wow! What a blessing it would be to have that computer for our family. Our old laptop is so old and slow and we get so frustrated every time we use it. For homework, we usually give up and just go to the library and use their computers.

I want a laptop so I don’t have to share with my husband.
As for the second nomination…..I have to nominate my mom and dad. Now, before it sounds too cliche, it is not for the typical reasons.
My parents are amazing in the way they love. They have me, all grown up with three kids of my own, my 15 year old brother, and they are also in the process of their fourth adoption. My little siblings are 7, 6, 4, and 2. All of them have special needs ranging from autism spectrum, neurological impairments, cerebral palsy, and more. This comptuer would be a blessing for them for all they do, a great way to maintain and research information on the kids, as well as a great learning tool for those adorable kids.

I hope I don’t sound greedy, but I would like to nominate myself. I have wanted a laptop for so long and although they’re not that pricey, there is always something that we need to spend money on more than a laptop. I blog and there are times I feel neglectful being stuck at the desk and I just stop and shut it down. Desktop is so restrictive.
I haven’t worked on getting to conventions because I don’t have one – how fun it would be to go!!
I can just imagine blogging in the park in the summertime while the kids play – wow a whole new world 🙂

I would like to Nominate my Art Class for your second Giveaway computer. I teach Art in a small private Christian School on an almost nothing budget. It would be so Wonderful to have this computer in the front of my room,
while I teach each day, to show my students a “picture” of what I’m teaching them about. We have no books, at this time I have some OLD art books that I photo copy a picture from in black and white. What a joy it would be to pull up the Mona Lisa or Van Goghs sunflowers or a Snowman,,, ( we live in Alabama, not much snow) Or a tree in the fall COLORS , the latest project I just taught by cutting out pictures from Magazines and making a poster for them to study. This type computer would be a blessing………..A pictures worth a thousand words…

For the second HP TouchSmart 600 {if I don’t win the first one hehe} I would nominate myself… because I seriously need a new computer. As I said in my initial comment, I’ve only had bottom of the line PC’s that cost no more than $500 at WalMart. My web/graphic design business has picked up lately and this computer – while it does carry out the tasks I need to perform – is slow, often freezes, and gives me the ‘blue scree’ quite frequently. Any designer knows how bad that can be – especially when it does it JUST before you save your work… then you have to start from scratch. ALLLLL that inspiration and hard work GONE. Ouch. 🙂 Plus, I’ve gotten involved in several blogging/writing ventures, teaming up with some amazing people and I’m going to need a reliable computer. To boot, working on my own books {5 of them!} is pretty rough when I am limited on how many programs this computer can successfully run simultaneously!
IF I were lucky enough to win the first one, I would nominate my mom for the second. She has a several-years-old laptop that is running Windows XP and it’s got a terrible lag, so she doesn’t get online as often as she’d like… she lives in another state so my blog is mainly the only way she can keep up with her grandchildren.. She found out earlier this year that she only has 30% operability of BOTH of her kidneys… She still works full time but since the insurance company is considering her illness to be preexisting, they aren’t covering most of her medical expenses for 12 months, so she is not able to spring for the cost of a new computer. Soooo I’d LOVE to be able to gift her with a computer that she can actually USE {and use often} …

I would nominate my parents for the second computer. Over the last 9 years, they have owned more computers than anyone I know! They haven’t been able to afford a new computer, so friends of theirs find parts and piece together computers for them. Unfortunately, they only last so long, before it doesn’t work anymore and can’t be fixed, so back to square one. It has been a frustrating process of wanting to keep my dad’s business on a computer, but can’t trust them, so he has file cabinets upon file cabinets of paperwork on all of his jobs. They really need a new, reliable computer.
I would love this! Our computer keeps crashing, so having something a little more reliable would be fantastic!

I would love to nominate my mother. She’s a recent retiree and spends a lot of time at home now with her husband who also retired this year. They both are always trying to get on the one computer they have and are always fighting. I don’t know how many times I hear. But I was working on the computer and he/she just came in and kicked me off the computer to use it. I would love for mom to have a computer of her very own. To surf the web and do what she loves to do without dad bugging her every minute of the day wanting to do his stuff.

This is a great giveaway especially for a family in need. As our computer is our only means of comunication with family around the state since my mother has had rheumatoid arthritis for many years and can not get around very well. “If you could bless someone this Christmas with an amazing HP TouchSmart 600, who would it be?” I would have to nominate my cousin for this computer giveaway. Four months ago, she woke up to almost complete paralysis (basically, overnight) and was told she had a condition called “transverse myelitis.” She has undergone intensive physical and occupational therapy, but her life is forever changed… and 32 years old. She is able to use the computer with a special typing device, but could never afford such a fabulous one. I’d be thrilled to win her a Touchsmart 600 — and make her life just a tiny bit better.

I nominate myself for the second computer giveaway. That is, if you have the second one to give away, and as long as I haven’t won the first computer. I know nominating myself to receive the computer may appear selfish, but it’s not really for me, it’s for my husband. He’s self employed, its not a big company, he’s not getting rich by any means, It’s just him, that’s it. He doesn’t have a company, he just subcontracts jobs through other companies. He does telephone and data communication cabling, which means that he crawls through floor and ceiling crawl spaces and other highly desirable cubby holes, and runs computer, telephone, and fiber optic lines so that people’s computers and telephones are where they want them and they work.
He is truly deserving. I had to leave my job of 8 years in 2003, due to a sudden disability. I’ve not been able to return to work since. When I stopped working, my family lost almost half of it’s income. My husband has been pulling full financial burden of the family since then. Since he’s self employed, he has no benefits. No insurance (too expensive), no paid holidays, no sick days, no vacation days, Now, he has to worry about his computer burning out on him, a computer that he needs to use for his business, for billing, and working on blueprints, work orders, and emails. He can’t even get one on credit, because we had to file bankruptcy last year, we just couldn’t keep our heads above water any longer. I receive disability, but it’s only $580 a month, not much when you were used to making $35k a year.
I know this may sound a bit heavy, but I swear every word is true. I know there are others out there that may be worse off than us, but I’m hoping the circumstances we are in will touch your heart, and we could win one of these computers. Thanks, Jojo
SO sweet. I would nominate my friend, Kim (praire mama) she and her husband were going to buy a computer to replace their very old one for Christmas but they just got word that his bonus is not happening this year because of the economy.
My sister just made an intercontinental move this summer with her family and her transition has not been easy. My BIL is still commuting to the US leaving her to adjust to a new country, language and bureaucracy with her 5 children alone. To make matters worse her house fell through at the last moment so she was left renting a house that still doesn’t have the kitchen installed so she can’t even unpack and settle. Now, to top it off she was just robbed last week. They took everything of value including their 2 computers and my BIL’s laptop for work. We miss her tremendously and loved being able to speak to her on skype and feel so disconnected now that she needs us most. I would love to win the computer for her!

This is the third yr of homeschooling and before this we were on dial up here in Los Angeles using the Gateway Astro that is long obsolete – the computer that has modem and all inside it and it is very long in back. The CD drive is broken.

I would like to nominate my friend Angela. She is a WONDERFUL wife and mom and a hadworking blogger who also works from home at a telecommuting job while homeschooling her three children. Her husband lost his job this fall, and things have been very hard for them these past few months. I know that heading into the Christmas season, they are feeling the crunch financially even more. However, she has kept her faith string and not lost heart, and I have not heard her complain or whine about her situation even once.
I think this would be great for Angela to win, because it would bless her family in so many ways. Her husband could use it in his job search, and Angela would be able to use it to help her in her blogging, her work at home job, and her homeschool with the kids.

I would nominate my dad for the Touchsmart PC giveaway. He was let go from his job in IT in February when the company downsized and because of his age he has been declined for every application he has put in for work since then and believe me he has put in A LOT! His job provided health insurance for my mom who has multiple sclerosis so currently she is off her meds because they cannot afford them. If he received a new computer I think it would really encourage him to start a business of his own, he has been toying with the idea of starting an ETSY shop doing homemade things just to get some money flowing in and, well, I think this would be a really great kick start.

I would love to be able to give this computer to my son. He graduated from college in May 2008 and has been unable to get a full-time job. He is constantly using his computer and the internet to help with his job search but his computer is old and at the minimum, the fan needs to be replaced. I would like to nominate my best friend, Sue, to win this computer. She has had a very rough year. This summer, she found a lump that turned out to be ovarian cancer. In July, they removed the mass (football size) and did a hysterectomy. She went through chemotherapy treatments, and lost all her hair with dignity! Now that her hair is finally starting to grow back, she’s developed some new problems and is going through testing to determine whether or not the cancer may have spread to her lymph nodes.
I hate to see her going through all of this and having to suffer. She’s young (only 36) and has 2 beautiful daughters who are scared for their mom. I would love to see her family blessed with this special surprise.

For the second computer, I would like to nominate a dear young girl named Kayla. I teach Kayla on Wednesday nights, and her story absolutely breaks my heart. Kayla’s mom can’t stay sober long enough to take care of her children. (Kayla has one brother.) Their dad is always working, and Kayla spends more time with her aunt than she does her own family. Kayla recently had a birthday, and her parents refused to do anything for her, even after they had just given her brother a huge party for his birthday. The entire situation just breaks my heart. Kayla has the sweetest heart of any young girl I have ever met, and she deserves the world. Having a new computer to do schoolwork on, and to make her feel special is exactly what she needs. I would love to make her Christmas just a little more special this year.

As a mom of 5, I don’t often get new, exciting things. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I did. My kids always come first. That being said, my computer is in horrible shape, and I desperately need a new one. With a new computer I could finally have a place to store clients’ photographs, design work, and everything else I need to get my businesses where they should be. Thank you for the opportunity.

While this would be an incredible addition to the house (I wonder how gaming is affected by the touchscreen…), the second computer would make a world of difference to my mother. She’s still working hard at 60, and her ancient Pentium computer just isn’t cutting it any more, especially since neither of my sisters have computers at their houses and need hers for access as well.

First, I’d like to nominate my parents. One is retired, while the other is disabled. Other than their TV, their computer is often their only form of entertainment. Subscribed to RSS feed and email list. If I could give this to someone it would be my cousin in New Brunswick. She lost her home in a fire a few months ago and just about everything was destroyed. She cannot afford to get a replacement computer right now so I’m sure she would greatly appreciate something like this.

I would like to nominate my husband for this computer.
We have 3 little girls, ages 3, 2 and 9 months. I am a nurse, but my husband works hard so that I don’t have to work and can stay home to raise our children to be the kind of people we’d like them to be, rather than having a daycare raise them for us. He is a school teacher to 8th graders (so we don’t make the most money in the world). He spends his extra time helping the kids in an after school program to try to make a little extra money for our family. He also wants to try a side line of work from home, but we don’t have a computer that can handle the program and don’t have the money to buy one. This computer would be great for our family, and especially for him, so he can pursue ways to better provide for our family.
I don’t want this to be a charity for our family, so please give it to someone else if more deserving than we are. He would probably be so embarrassed if he knew I was doing this. He is a great man and provider and we do fine, but I would love for him to have this computer.

If I could bless someone this Christmas with an amazing HP TouchSmart 600 it would be my Mom. She has been using Web TV for years now and the few times I have gone on there to show her something I couldn’t beleive how slow and blurry it is. I would love to nominate my mom for the second computer because she so deserves it. She has sacrificed so much for our family over the years and still does to this day. Having me at 18. Then not only raising me but also taking on the responsibility to raise my dads two small children (from his previous marriage) when she was only 23. Which she did not have to do. But did because she knew it was the right thing to do. Then my younger brother when she was 24. Which made her a mother of 4 young children at the age of 24. And for staying with my dad even through the toughest of times (gambling problems, drinking, etc.) which in turn ended up leading us all to the Lord including my dad.
The main reason I would love for her to have this computer is because about 9 years ago my dad had past away at the age of 53. That put a big weight on my mom’s shoulder. Not only did she have to deal with the grieving but she was now living alone. And although she did work she did not drive. So at the age of 48 my mom learned how to drive, left her job and moved to MD to live closer to my youngest brother leaving all her friends and some family members behind.
Now she has been in MD for about 8 1/2 years and all of us kids that she had raised since we were little live here as well. My mom still does not work but instead she has been taking care of our children, her grandchildren. My son was 4 1/2 months old when I moved here. I was a single mom and my mom helped me out so much and even till the day she still does. Since I started working at my new job, my mom has been here at 6:30 am weekday morning so that I can go to work. (I’m a single mom). And she not only takes him to school but picks him up from the bus stop and watches him until I come home. She has been watching him for free since he was 2 years old so that I could work. When she easily could be working herself. She has also helped my sister as well because up until about 2 years ago she and her husband were both working and needed someone to watch her 3 youngest. So at times my mom had 3-4 kids at some point throughout the day. Still sacrificing every day of her life for her family. I love her so much and would love to see her blessed with this special gift.
Anyhow, I would love for her to have this computer so that she can keep in touch with her friends from back home. And so that she can have access to the internet to do what all of us moms and grandma’s like too do. I can’t thank you ladies enough for the opportunity. Another blessing in the making. : )

I would nominate by 42 year old daughter – mother of 5, including two teenagers who are visually impaired. Both parents work very long hours to provide for their family, and computer needs are not always at the top of the attainable list, even with the computer requirements in education today. He works at a library and is always helping people to find the answers to there questions or a source that will help. He built his own computer as part of a class in HS and even tho he has updated it some, it is woefully behind the times. He deserves a fantastic new one!

Hmmm – I would like to nominate my parents for hte computer. Dad had a stroke and is on disability (which breaks his heart because he misses work so bad) and mom was recently diagnosed with cancer and heart problems. They both have diabetes and seems like everyday is a struggle lately. They would love to have a computer not only for playing, but for looking up health tips, recipes and questions. They don’t get out as much as before and this would open another up another world for them!

I would like to nominate my own family for this because we need one desperately. I am a single mother of 3 teenage boys. Actually 4 now, my sons best friend just moved in a couple of weeks ago. I was laid off a few months ago. I recieve no child support for my boys. It’s hard enough trying to raise 3 kids on 1 income let alone unemployment. Of course we all have our own things we like to do online and the kids need pc for homework. We all share 1 very outdated pc my mom gave me back in 2000. This would absolutely make my boys christmas which would make mine in return because I really don’t know how Im going to even manage anything for them this christmas. It’s a sad world around here right now. I sure wish the economy would start picking up. I hope you will consider us if you win an extra pc we would be very greatful…

I would nominate my Mother-in-Law. She works at a Woman’s shelter and does tons of computer work but doesn’t have one of her own. Having a computer would wonderful. She could do her work at home AND keep in touch with the grandkids.

I need to win this for my daughter who has asked for Santa to grant her wish for a computer that has a touch screen and has the technology that will allow her to learn despite her disabilities. With school cutbacks she no longer has the use of a laptop from the school.
Our desktop is not strong enough to handle her complex software and all the tools she needs to be independent in her learning. Becca cannot write, she has dyslexia and the computer has to read for her, she has to have word prediction software, but the biggest challenge is now the need for a touch screen.
My daughter Becca is now 20 but is losing the coordination and strength in her fingers. She can no longer use the mouse for more than a few minutes without her hands cramping up and locking. She needs a touch screen and a desk monitor, with a large enough screen to be able to see straight ahead and enlarge the writing in the window due to eyesight issues.
Becca has Noonan syndrome, severe learning disabilities and has limited neck movement. Looking down causes her neck to freeze and causes dizziness and migraines. She saw this computer this fall and researched that this is what she needs to be able to do her schoolwork and reach out to the only friends she has through the computer as she is on homebound school for now 7 years. The computer is her window to the world, and her learning.
I would love to win this to make my daughters wish come true. Becca is a survivor young person, who has come so far, but her body is wearing down, joints are falling apart, her elbows locking. Everyday she is in pain, and the computer has been her escape, but even using it causes pain.
I can’t believe that I found this giveaway, after she has spent the last week “showing” me the HP touch screen and telling me that Christmas is the time of miracles and her angels will find her one.

I would love for my husband to win the second computer. He has had his laptop for 9 years now, and he’s doing good if he can even get it to turn on! OMGosh! This would be a dream come true for our family. Our computer is so old and full that it is slower than molasses. I have 2 teens who constantly need it for homework, a busy seven year old who is learning his way around a computer, my husband and myself. I take classes online trying to finish my degree so we can hopefully get ahead of the finances eventually.
A computer is integral in our life and we need a new one!
I would bless my daughter with this computer, because she is a hard working, pay her own way college student whose computer is at death’s door but she keeps limping it along to get her by.

I would love to win this! I would also like to nominate my sister for the other computer. My sister has had a series of bad luck this year. She’s a single parent and she’s had to take a 25% pay cut. She also works another job. She’s had heart problems, she’s trying desperately to avoid foreclosure, she has car problems, the list goes on and on. Life is truly hard for her and her son and this would make a big difference in her life, not only in having a new fancy computer, but also in affirming that sometimes GOOD things happen.
This is an awesome giveaway! My family could sure use a new computer and we love the HP technology. In fact my husband was just looking at computers online earlier today, before I found out about this giveaway! How strange is that?

I have never had a computer that cost more than $500 LOL This is the SEXIEST computer ever!! I am a tech freak and this is the most attractive piece of machinery I’ve seen in a looooong time 🙂 I HAVE to have it. As a WAHM with five kiddos and a husband with two jobs, you can imagine I spend MOST of my time at home – and most of my time at home is spent on the computer doing my web/graphic design, writing my book, and working on my blog. From what I’ve heard about Windows 7 it’s PERFECT for people like me that run like 10 thousand programs at once and have a need for a computer that can keep up with my multitasking genius 🙂 haha
