How To Make Fun Easter Baskets With Less Candy And More Learning

Easter baskets are such a special treat for kids… but they don’t have to be full of candy and chocolate. When I’m putting together Easter Baskets for my kids, I always like to add a chocolate bunny, a few chocolate eggs, and then some extra fun surprises like little toys and puzzles.

Easter Gifts for Kids without Candy

So we’ve gathered five clever, non-candy Easter gift ideas for you and we’re giving away a prize pack worth $105. The giveaway will end after Easter, but your kids will love toys like these any time of year. These gift ideas include affiliates and items from sponsors.

Cool Pens To Inspire Creativity

Blendy PensI always use birthdays and special occasions to give my girls new stationary supplies.

A new set of colored pens or pencils is inspiration for them to get creative.

My girls spend lots of time drawing and coloring, so every few months, they can usually benefit from new supplies.

These Blendy Pens are extra fun because kids can create custom color blends.

Puzzle Games

Small games that challenge the brain are a wonderful addition to an Easter basket.

Smart Games

Compact puzzle games from Smart Games can provide hours of fun.

STEM Toys

STEM Starter KitI love getting my kids playing with toys that inspire STEM thinking.

This miniature microscope is so fun and still a small enough gift that you can tuck it into an Easter basket.

It turns a smartphone into a high-powered microscope for STEM learning on the go.

My kids love toys that work together with their smartphones.

And I love toys that get them thinking!

Card Games

Card games are perfect little gift ideas for Easter baskets.

Top Trumps

Top Trumps has four new STEM-themed card decks that play the same as the other 60+ decks in the line, ranging from Marvel and Harry Potter (content written by J.K. Rowling) to Mischievous Cats or Creatures of the Deep.

These card games are great for travel.

Whiffer Sniffers

Easter Themed Stuffie

I always like to add a cute stuffie to my girls’ Easter baskets.

Willy Hyde is an adorable new character from Whiffer Sniffers.

Whatever age your kids are, they’ll love clippy this cutie to their backpacks.
