My mother, thought not perfect, is a fantastic woman that is far too hard on herself as she truly doesn’t know how great of a person she is. She’s the kind of woman that when I was younger, even though she probably only had a few dollars in her purse to last until payday she would give them to her kids and pretend she had plenty enough for herself. She deals with a couple of life threatening diseases but forces herself to go out swimming several times a week (even when feeling ill) as she is trying to preserve her health to the best of her ability. She’s been a great example to me (without saying a word) of fighting for and valuing life. She’s a woman of faith who prays for her grown children, reads the Bible etc. but has learned to not speak too much about this with her adult kids as they don’t seem to respond well to feeling any type of pressure about faith issues. I know that it’s a struggle for her to keep her opinions/comments to herself sometimes because she loves us so much but she often manages to because she wants us to feel comfortable in communicating with her about all aspects of our lives. I very much want to be able to offer her a lovely Mother’s Day gift but this year I don’t have any money at all. My two bank accounts have been completely cleaned out, I owe money on my credit card & I’m $100 short on last month’s rent already (which has never happened before)-still my mother tells me she is proud of me. I guess I’m making a mess of my life but my mother is trying very hard to better hers and she deserves this prize. She’s an amazing, humble lady who truly appreciates the things she’s been blessed with. I’m blessed to call her both my mother and friend.

What a treat – a night away would be
I’m a Christian mom with grown kids. My daughter and I have enjoyed teas and tea parties since she was only two years old. I don’t see her as often now, so I’d love to plan an afternoon tea for her and I at the Boston Four Seasons Hotel. She’d take the train down from Maine and I’d take the train from Worcester. We’d talk, laugh, and linger over pots of tea. It will be wonderful.

I just moved with my family to North Carolina. My mother in law was diagnosed with stage 4 her2 breast cancer last year. She has really put her trust into the lord and denied all treatments. Over the summer she did partake in some Radiation. She also purchased lots of herbs from a woman in Mexico that claims she has the answer to cancer but that our governent pushed her out of the US. I was skeptical. It cost a couple thousand dollars for the cleanouts. She completely changed her diet NO sugar because sugar is what feeds cancer. She recently went for a pet scan 3 months ago and they told her they didnt know how, but she was clean. She knows how……….. The Lord!! If I won; I would take her with myself and my daughter. Her name is Dorothy Stevenson. Shes lives in Williamston. If nothing else whoever reads this, please keep the prayer chain going.

Some of my fondest memories ever are from a business trip that my hubby won as manager of the year 5 years ago – a trip to Maui and we stayed at the Four Seasons there. It was amazing! Something we never could have done on our own but we have dreamed about going back. Oh goodness, the Four Seasons hotels are fantastic! I fondly remember my stay at the Four Seasons Vancouver for business. I can down with a migraine and my hotel contact sent up a pot of tea and a small stuffed doctor bear. Still have the stuffed bear!

This would be so great to have. I have a son that I take to soccer tournaments in other states and will be starting to look at colleges soon so we will be staying in a number of hotels. It would be nice to be able to stay in a really nice hotel as a bit of a treat.
Hello I am writing to nominate my mother Corinthia Sampson for this great mother’s day package. My mother went through a lot of pain throughout her life and despite it all she managed to raise me and my younger brother alone successfully as well as help others raise their children. I look at my mother as a “superwoman” because many people call her “mother” she has been a counselor, mother, confidont, sister and friend for many that had nobody at some point and time. She is overall a giving person and never looks for anything in return. I just want my mom to take a break at some point and time but she always is somewhere aiding to need of others and sometimes never to herself. I love my moms spirit and I cherish her God given abilities. I thank God daily for such a peaceful and loving mother. I wouldn’t change anything about her.
