Crock-Pot ® Smart-Pot® Slow Cooker Giveaway

I am not exaggerating at all when I say that having dinner slow-cooking away in my Crock-Pot ® at 4:00 in the afternoon makes me SO happy. That time of the afternoon is so busy, and thinking about defrosting, chopping, and pan-frying dinner is sometimes enough to just do me in. It makes being a mom SO much easier.

With a little bit of planning, getting a meal into the Crock-Pot ® is easy. Using the slow-cooker is also often cheaper, since slow-cooking tougher (and less expensive) cuts of meat makes them tender and delicious. It’s often healthier, too (if you can avoid recipes using that canned cream-of-whatever concoction) because everything cooks in its own juices.

A friend of mine who has a large family just recently received a Crock-Pot ® from a friend for her seventeenth wedding anniversary. The friend couldn’t believe that Mary had never owned one. And now Mary is a convert. She can’t believe that she lived all these years without one.

    I make alot of crock pot meals, Our favorite is my homemade barbecue pulled chicken or beef.
    I have very small crock pots, but won’t do the job so wish I had another big one so that I could be making my meat dish at the same time I make a vegetable or other side dish.

    This sounds like it would be super handy. I always have to plan to start the crock pot exactly six or eight hours before I want to eat or I am afraid the food will be overcooked. A warming feature would be great.

  728. Most people think crockpots are just for winter cooking. But, in our household we do just as much if not more crockpot cooking in the summer. I hate to heat up the kitchen in the summer as it seems to make the air conditioner run so much longer, which in turn makes the electric bill so much higher. Put a beef shoulder roast, about 2.5 pounds, into the crock pot with 1 green apple cut in half, 1 large sweet onion cut in half and 1/2 a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce. Let it go on low for about 8-10 hours. When you get home from work you have the best BBQ beef sandwiches in the world and you did none of the work.

    Crock Pots are a must if you are a busy woman with or without a family at home. And now they have liners for them so you don’t even have to clean up after you use them. Just take out the liner and throw it away.
